Always like coming to Safeway when they have Specials. And the music today in store is So Nice 60's 70's.

I would not call this a restaurant but it's definitely the place to grab food to go. The store itself is clean and the staff are friendly. We were headed over to Haida Gwaii and needed to get groceries as well as food for the ferry. The deli had sandwiches, hot and cold items as well. You can also pick up individual cheese and meat sticks. The bakery has buns, croissants as well as desserts. Head over to the produce aisle and you can pick up containers of ready to eat mixed fruit and/or veggie plates. Everything was fresh and delicious! Better than ferry food not to mention cheaper!

If you're in a hurry, and not worried about saving money they have a decent selection to pick up what you need quickly. However, you will pay more for it than average. I wasn't super impressed with their meat selection or their produce section. It could very well be that things are still picked over from the Thanksgiving holiday, but nothing seemed very fresh at all today. Due to their prices Safeway has never been my first choice when it comes to grocery stores.

We had to catch the ferry very early the next morning so I picked up sandwiches and some grapes from Safeway, very close to the Crest Hotel.

I was food poisoned so bad from the sushi at Safeway that I felt like I was dying. I could not move for three days due to nausea .... I could not make it to bathroom for 24 hours..... I unfortunately had to throw up in kitchen sink till I could crawl to bathroom the next day. I am a second cook in camps and this blew me away... I love sushi but will never eat again I honestly thought I was going to have to call ambulance.....

Their deli section offers various salads and meats, like many other grocery stores. However in the north this is not always the case! You can also get pre-made items like sandwiches and snack trays. I noticed the store was clean, although not many people are wearing masks or physically distancing.

We went here for a quick lunch. We thought to go just after 12pm to get the fresh batch of the menu display (we ofdid not want to re-experience the lackluster shenanigans we had in the Terrace Safeway with their stale, day old food). Our hunch was right because the display were steaming hot and fresh when we got there. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and made some suggestions. We went for an order of Chicken Wings and Mexican Corn Soup for starters. Then we got the chicken tenders and some fried perogies. The chicken wings were good in spicy ranch sauce, but still don't beat the ones at P&P for quality (go the chicken wings!). Crispy on the outside and good chicken meat flavour in the inside still persisted, though. The hot Mexican corn soup was also thick and savoury. The chicken tenders were crispy and tender chicken meat and the fried perogies were in big proportions and delicious. The perogies also came with a healthy portion of sour cream to enjoy. The packaging of the food items were good to keep them warm and keep them from spilling out. The cost of our food items was also a good deal. We will probably go back here for lunch again if wanting to maintain a tight budget. Yeah!

Safeway $6.99 for Bologna!!! Really??? This is a time where you either see the best in people and businesses or the worst.

The Safeway store was just over the road from where we stayed. It was clean and well stocked an allowed its to buy provisions for the next day or two.

I stopped by a couple times to pick up snacks while I was staying in Prince Rupert. A the grocery is little small compared to Safeway in the States but you can find pretty much anything you need here.

Safeway was a life saver for us in Prince Rupert. We could buy fresh fruits and vegetables from the grocery and cook or eat them raw at the hostel where we stayed. It saved us from eating at a restaurant for every meal. There are some cafes also where one can buy snacks and bakery items and they are quite good. The deli section had a good choice of meats, cheeses and other cold food items. The choice of food items here was better than at the Walmart Store of Prince Rupert. The store is located quite near to the Cow Bay district and the Prince Rupert harbour where the cruise ships dock. It is just off Yellowhead Highway and there is ample parking space in the compound.
