Wow, so this is the first time I've had Thai food that really doesn't taste like Thai food. I ordered takeout pad thai and ka pow (basil) fried rice. The pad Thai just tasted like wet, salty noodles. Basil fried rice oddly tasted like Italian food. Neither were great - greasy, low on flavor. I've eaten here almost two years ago and it was great then. This was a disappointing visit. There's much better thai in Rockville and more affordable prices.

Wonderful place. Feels like sitting in someone’s living room. Having been to Thailand, the dishes, all taste like they did there. The time Yum soup, the spring rolls, the garden rolls, see you we’re all great. Plan to come back often.

Great Thai food. The phuket surprise was delicious as was the mango salad, and the mango sticky rice was great. The chicken green curry was good (I've had better). Atmosphere is very nice - but very crowded and can get loud. Definitely worth going

The service was HORRIBLE! My friend and I had dinner there on Thursday night, wanting to catch up after haven’t seen each other for more than a year. Our waitress M and another waitress started asking if we were done with our food 40 minutes after we sat down which was less than 20 minutes after we got our food, and kept asking every three minutes or so, I feel obligated to finish quickly, and then she took away my plates and all utensils. I was afraid to ask for refill of water. My friend told the waitress that she was not done with her food and ask them not to keep rushing us. The waitress was not apologetic and argued that it was part of their service to ask if we are done with our food or not. My friend told her that she will let them know when she is done with her food, and the waitress came back and asked AGAIN in 5 minutes! We talked to the manager and ask what is the time limit for dinner and she said 90 minutes. We were there less than 60 minutes and got interrupted 10 times to the point we didn’t know how to continue our conversation. I understand their business is good and they want to turn the table as many times as possible, but rushing customers to finish dinner in 40 to 60 minutes is unreasonable.

Very lovely decor and atmosphere. Tried the duck, beef and pink soup dishes and they were very delicious. The ruby lychee drink was yummy and was not too sweet. The mango sticky rice was very good. We sat in the back area where it was less loud and less crowded compared to the front area. We definitely preferred sitting in the back of the restaurant. It almost felt like we were in a library. The restroom has a wall covered with flowers, perfect for a photo. :) the menu looks like a newspaper.Parking wasn’t so bad when we arrived but we were lucky to find a spot right away. The staff told us that the wait would be 20 minutes, took down my phone number, and said they’d call me when a table was ready. We went across the parking lot to CVS to buy some necessities and a table was ready in 10 minutes. It was very quick. The servers were very kind and attentive. They answered questions about the menu with patience and a smile and even provided recommendations that were very good.

Nice atmosphere but you will probably want to make reservations if going for dinner, as space is limited. Our server was very pleasant and happily answered any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious! I would recommend (if your taste buds are a bit wimpy) that you order “mild,” as opposed to “medium.” Medium was a bit too spicy for some in our group. ?? I highly recommend this restaurant.

a friend recommended it to us. two of the dishes we ordered were disappointments: crispy duck, the crust smell and taste stale, either the breading or the oil used to fry it was not fresh; the somtum salad suffered from the same freshness issue, the salad sauce (vinegar or fish sauce) was not fresh. otherwise,it is not bad and may not be totally fault of this location as a lot of dishes are semi pre-prepared centrally. the atmosphere and service were good.

I stopped here on a whim and am glad I did. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cute, everything on the menu looked amazing and did I mention that the menu itself is a decoration. The food came out quickly and was just so good. The food was really satisfying and I've been craving it ever since. I also got their lychee drink, which may have been the best cocktail I've ever had. I haven't found a better Thai restaurant since and am planning on coming back very soon.

Frequent patron of the Old Town location and after a recent move decided to try the Sister location in Potomac. Disappointing when compared to Old Town location when comes to taste and value. Then on top of that had to beg for an oz of soy sauce for my meals. If an oz of soy sauce is going to break your business then idk what to tell you.

Truly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had today. My wife ordered lunch takeout for us and asked for “spicy Thai fried rice” and specifically said “I don’t know what it’s called” because there are two menu items that sound very similar (kapow vs kaprow). The ‘manager’ (I use that title very loosely) on the phone taking the order, Patty, specifically said “ kaprow fried rice, yes.” When we got home with the order, we saw it was the wrong order—literally just a fried rice that she modified on the ticket as “spicy.” Not a big deal right? Just call, let them know, and get the food you ordered, especially when you spent $45 on just two lunch dishes. Typically the restaurant and store will want to make it right for the customer. Not so at Sisters Thai in Cabin John. Patty argued with me over the phone and blamed us for ordering the wrong item. When I tried to explain what happened, she very rudely and arrogantly raised her voice and started talking over me. She insisted that she put the order in the way we ordered it and that there was no possible way she could have made an error. So much for “the customer is always right.” We live nearby and frequently order from Sisters in Potomac/Cabin John. I just brought the food back to Patty, got a refund, and went over to Chopt where my business is more appreciated. Personally, my family and I will never patron Sisters again. Judging from the other reviews, it looks like my experience with rude and impolite staff was not unique. I don’t recommend Sisters Thai. Check out one of the many other food options instead, like Colada.

The food itself here was very good, 5/5. I especially liked the khao soi and the crispy filet fish. However I think the price for many dishes was maybe 20+% more than other very good Thai restaurants in the area, so don't think it was worth the price. On top of that, something that irked me was on the receipt, the premade choices for tip amount were 20, 25 or 30% (never seen a restaurant without a 15 or 18 option and certainly never seen a 30). Not only that, but the recommended tip amounts were calculated on the post tax total, so to me this just seemed rather greedy and disingenuous. Despite the good taste of the food, this left me with a bad impression of the restaurant as a whole.
