We stopped by for a sweet tooth. It was just okay. The apple turnovers had very little apple filling as well as the cream cheese danish. Both varieties seemed fresh and were soft. The counterperson was pleasant.

Surprisingly they don’t show any prices. It’s a big mystery. The pea soup was awful, so was the lemon cake. The location is excellent though . But that’s all there is.

Came here after hiking at the C&O canal and the tiramisu really hit the spot. They seemed to have a large selection of items, many more exciting things to try, so perhaps we will come back when in a similar situation.

Lovely experience! Everything was fresh and delicious, service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance very pleasant. The croque monsieur was excellent with delicious ham and terrific crusty baguette. All of the pastries were fresh and perfect; we had the spinach and feta croissant, the pear tart, and the apple strudel. Happy to pay for good food and service, quality costs. Will return!

Was quite disappointed with my experience here. Got a latte and hot chocolate and they messed up both of the orders after I reminded them twice on the type of milk and no whip cream. The pastries are also something you could get from the grocery store. Would not recommend.

My family stopped in this afternoon. It seems to be more of a patisserie (pastries) than boulangerie (breads), though they have some of both. We were intending to get several pastries after our hike along the Potomac, and the pastries looked fine, but we left without buying anything after noticing that they'd refused to disclose the prices for any of them. By that I mean that they had signs identifying each pastry but any indication of prices for the pastries was conspicuously absent. What shall we make of a place that refuses to tell you how much you're spending until after you've placed your order? Maybe they make up prices on the spot? Maybe they charge different prices depending on your race or gender or apparent sexual orientation? Maybe they are afraid that if they revealed how much they were charging, people would decide their pastries aren't worth it? Anyway, it's a massive red flag and we should all know better than to give someone a blank check for a friggin donut.

I think everything is fine service food the desserts the only problem if you want to get to a wider audience is low prices because they are very high at this time only a certain group of people can consume the products that you have if it is that They get off a little going to have more sales and that's what I recommend

Two baked goods the baklava and donuts(in boxes on a table) were really soggy and stale tasting when we got them home to share with family. The baklava wasn't flakey and very wet. If mold tasted like a food it would be these two items and for 31.00 dollars I feel completely ripped

????If you've ever wondered what heaven smells like, just take a stroll into Vie De France Bakery & Cafe and let your nose lead the way! As the world's most critical critic (yes, it's official now), I can assure you that this place is the real deal. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked pastries and bread that instantly lifts your spirits. The display cases are a feast for the eyes, showcasing an array of delectable treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious.I couldn't resist indulging in their assortment of pastries, and let me tell you, each bite was a little piece of happiness. The croissants were flaky and buttery, and the fruit tarts were bursting with flavor. Pair them with a perfectly brewed coffee or smoothie, and you've got yourself a match made in pastry paradise. The ambiance is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the overall experience was delightful. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on the go or settling in for a leisurely brunch, Vie De France Bakery & Cafe is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of baking done right. This review is left by the world’s most critical critic, so if I say it, it’s true!

I used to be a loyal customer, but my last two visits were disappointing. During my latest visit, I paid for a vanilla latte only to discover they were out of vanilla after the transaction. To make matters MUCH WORSE, the lady improperly closed the lid, which caused the hot coffee to spill all over me and my car, resulting in painful burns on my skin and a sticky mess in the car. Despite my distress, when I sought napkins, she just pointed me to the direction even though I told her what happened. She offered a new coffee but after that traumatizing experience, I just left
