We've been to Harryman House many times, and going for Mothers' Day has been a sort of family tradition. We always liked the food. This time, we left with the impression that the chef was a no-show and that some random people stepped in to fill the void. Detailed: Waitress was young, not too experienced or able to be helpful in making choices, but nice and pleasant. Drinks were good. For starters we ordered cream of mushroom soup (good!) and a burrata salad that was very bad: big slices of tomato with a thick drizzle of sweet syrupy balsamic reduction, a not very fresh burrata ball, and 3 pieces of cold, dry bread (nearly inedible); no EVOO, no salt/pepper/seasoning, nothing green; the bread was not even toasted, just verging on stale. For main dishes, we ordered a scallop risotto (very nice), and a lobster "salad" with grilled corn and "croutons". It was a large dish, skimpy on lobster and corn, but very dense with large chunks of dry white bread. (Not flavored or toasted or grilled, just like chunks of nearly stale bread.) The bread formed most of the volume and weight of the dish, and was not particularly edible. Dessert - apple crostata - was very good. The quality was a dramatic decline compared to our past experiences there, but the bill still was reminiscent of a high-end dining experience - too high. We left convinced that we'll have to give Harryman House a few years to grow before we give it another shot.

Ordered 2 eggs Benedict. They were completely HARD BOILED. Took home to make egg salad. Not poached eggs. Hostess very unfriendly. I brought on cake and she said would tell server. Server was completely unaware.

very nice place with bar and table seating, famous historic landmark, classy all the way, a bit on the expensive side.

I enjoyed our lunch and would suggest you remove the yellow processed cheese from the junior turkey club and replace with a healthier provolone or swiss cheese. I like the butter pecan and it's one of the main reasons I visit the restaurant.

WOW. My wife and I came here for a date night and we are definitely happy that we came here. What an amazing place! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The food was so amazing. The tuna tartare is perfect!! Highly recommend it. The pizza was spot on and so was the burger. I can’t wait to go back.

A hidden gem in old Reisterstown. Great ambiance and service to match. Drink offering is extensive and the food is Top Notch. Sunday Brunch is something you have to experience. Chicken and Waffles are awesome and the Beignets are delectable. Harryman House knows how to do great food.

Nice place. Front people were so nice and friendly. Server was not really helpful. Tipped accordingly. Food was pretty good but salty. Still I would go there again.

For the most part, it was great food! Excellent service from Jason! He was friendly, and anticipated our every need. That being said our experience started with disappointment. We are long time Harryman House diners, and we really enjoy lunch on Saturday. We were there today for my sister's birthday. She had chosen to celebrate at Harryman House because she loves their lunch. Well, when we were told that the lunch menu was no longer available on Saturdays there was disappointment. I think that when a big change like that is made, there should be a banner on the website, and on Open Table making sure that the customer is aware of the change. Since we all work full-time jobs and aren't available Monday-Friday, this also means that we will never have an opportunity to experience the lunch menu. Once we found out they were restricted to the brunch menu, we made our selections. Two of the things we ordered were the Cinnamon Rolls and the Scone Basket. When they were served we saw that (1) there was only 1 cinnamon roll despite the menu stating rolls plural, and (2) the scone, that the menu indicated was with seasonal fruit, had almonds in it. Since one of our party has a very severe allergy to nuts, this could have been disastrous if we hadn't noticed the nuts in the scones - the cinnamon roll also had nuts but it was listed on the menu. The menu needs to list any ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction.

Waitress was so nice and adorable. Conscientious. Steaks were undercooked, but they fixed it. Grilled veggies and fries were yummy. Decent portion size and reasonable pricing.

The setting is what you would expect in a 200+- property...charming, quaint...but close. The cuisine is usually pretty good and tonight was no disappointment. The waiter was loud, cocky and condescending. With a better waiter, the evening would have been five star!

Always a good meal. Always good service. Upscale casual. Not a lot of variety in menu. Changes seem to occur fairly often. Enjoyed addition of sausage pasta to pork loin. Recommend the brisket burger. Crab cake is good as well.
