Bagels are decent, but not amazing. Pick up process is terrible. Anyone can take anything and there is no check—which has happened too many times. Service takes way too long. Wish there were other good breakfast options nearby, we only come here when guests/friends want to.

Got a to-go order and my girlfriend's bagel sandwich had a bug in it. She took it back and the employee was trying to imply it was her fault for opening the sandwich outside in the car. She took the sandwich and had it remade, and the new sandwich has a hair in it.

On my way to work one morning and I was craving a breakfast bagel sandwich. Since I was running behind time, I wasn't able to stop at one of my favorite spots in NE, DC so luckily YELP recommended "Bethesda Bagels" since it was within my route.Parking is a hit or miss but if you come before 9am, you don't have to worry about the meters. Food - I ordered a breakfast bagel sammich, Over-Medium egg, cheddar cheese, avocado, vegan sausage on a scooped Everything bagel. This was AMAZING & by far worth every bite, crispy edges and semi soft center and beyond filling. I also got a pink frosted donut because it looked so cute and was the only 1 left, it was sigh aight, I just wished it was softer and had a more fresh taste to it. Last, I ordered their HOT COCOA , this in house drink is made with gourmet chocolate (not powder) and steamed to the gods plus topped off with whipped cream, I'm so in love with this hot cocoa and will ALWAYS get this when I come here for breakfast. Its not too sweet not overly chocolate, a perfect balance for me. It's $4 well worth it and has replaced my Starbucks addition lol. Price- I spent roughly under $13 for a full meal, in my opinion, pricing isn't bad and depends on what and how much you want. Ambiance- Clean, cozy, small yet have home vibes and so much selections/options to choose from. Customer Service - Beyond AMAZING, I look forward to seeing the staff because even when they're busy, they still don't rush you and give a sweet small talk as if you're the only one there. The staff are great and after a while, they definitely recognize their regulars which I always love. Service will a SMILE always gets me.Overall, this place is definitely now added to one of my new favorites and I've been 4 times within a month already .

No seats. Typical but awesome bagel shop. Buy bagels by ones and twos or by the dozen mix and match, or you can order sandwiches on bagels. You can get cream cheese to go. Lunchtime beveridge options. Fresh bagels made the classic way (like in NYC, if you know you know - boiled before baked, perfect texture). Lots and lots of flavors.Vegetarian options: Classic bagels are brushed with egg white and these may be, so vegans need to inquire, but I've been vegetarian since 1980 and always did great at bagel shops. This one included.

They make some pretty good bagel sandwiches but recently I ordered two everything bagel sandwiches, one with bacon and the other with avocado. One of them didn't come with avocado, not mention you pay extra for the avocado. And this isn't the first time that this happens, I let the first couple of times slide but now it's starting to piss me off like how complicated can it be.
They have a wide variety of bagels with various different spreads and sandwich types available. On the breakfast sandwiches they give you a large portion of egg. The prices are decent for a breakfast sandwich and the taste was ?. If I am in the area I will certainly stop by again.

*** update - Damn! I'm speechless about (and busy chewing) the amazing sandwich from Bethesda Bagels. The tuna salad sandwich which I would have called a tuna melt was both in quality and quantity extraordinary, literally, that no other sandwich in my recent experience could possibly measure up to the flavor or size of this bagel sandwich. Unwrapping my late lunch the bagel when viewed down it's sliced face was nothing less than gorgeous. A golden egg bagel with layers of tuna salad, verdant green lettuce and brilliant red tomato. Crunchy pickles and fresh sprouts. Delicious. As I said, Damn! ****** update - the pizza bagels are a hidden gem, so good and great price! ***Came in for breakfast and to take lunch for work. Got my coffee but hadn't drank it yet so was groggy when ordering. The guy at the counter was awesome, he caught a bad mistake I almost made with the sandwich and saved my lunch! Hooray to staff who boldly protect delicious sandwiches! Thank you!

Just had Bethesda bagels for the first time! I did an online order and it was really easy to navigate their site and order. I appreciate that they have vegan cream cheese options, I was really excited to try it. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with the veggie tofu cream cheese and I added onions, capers, and sprouts. They have a lot of add-in options. My bagel was perfectly toasted. Soft on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. Was very impressed by the bagel and def will be back
