Highly recommend the ninja crispy chicken for $11.50, which pairs nicely with the beef on rice. It feels like it is straight out of a Taiwanese street food YouTube video! The chicken is pounded very flat and long and seasoned to be both salty and a bit sweet, though I would recommend removing it from the container very quickly as the cardboard it is delivered in retains a lot of heat causing the chicken to become soggy the longer it stays wrapped up.Otherwise, I’d highly recommend!

Cheers Cut is located inside The Spot Asian Food Hall. They serve a variety of different Taiwanese street foods, most notably a rendition of 大雞排, which is honestly pretty rare to find in the US. Since we saw it on the menu, we had to get it.Ninja Crispy Chicken ($11.50) - The chicken has a bit of crunch from the coarse sweet potato flour and had the appropriate sweet and savory five spice, sugar, white pepper flavor. The chicken is breast meat, pounded flat, super juicy and moist. Unfortunately the packaging is not appropriate for this dish. The heavy paper wrapper causes the chicken to steam itself, making the breading soggy, even though we picked up the order as soon as it was ready. It was awkward to share - I think the idea was to rip off a portion of the cardboard and munch on it directly, but since it was to be split we ripped open the wrapper and cut it with a knife. Not traditional for sure, but such a cleaner method to eat. Overall this dish was good but not great. The flavor is on point, but the method of delivery is bad.

I love the pork trotter and beef tendon!! The best skewers I had in the US

They give good amount of squid. I thought the squid would be more crunchy but favor was good. Especially Taiwanese teriyaki sauce, it was amazing. Beef tender was good favor, quite spicier than I thought. Lamp was ok little lack of favor. Overall it was decent food.

I got combo B1 (Samurai Crispy Chicken) and A3 (Fried Diced Beef). B1 came with broccoli and had an option between four sides—I chose the curry rice and it was delicious! There was also free sauce, and I tried the Teriyaki and Sweet and Sour sauces, both of which were really delicious. The fried chicken/beef was so good and the breading was amazingly flavorful. Also, because of my friend working behind the cashier, I got a discount! :)

The service and how the staff handles their mistakes are the reason I will probably never go back here again. If I could give zero stars, I would because of how the food was handled and it makes me want to not trust any food from here. I walked up and placed an order of two chicken wing platters for take out, because we were meeting some friends and eating in the town center. Everything was pretty normal and I was given a buzzer that was supposed to go off when my order was ready. Feel like this is a pretty standard practice and even the person I was with who ordered take out also had her buzzer actually buzz. Long Story: After a while, I realized it was taking quite some time for my order to be ready. I thought initially thought nothing of it until people who ordered after me were getting their orders while my buzzer didn't go off. I just assumed they were low staff in the back. My friend who had ordered after me had already gotten her order, so I waited maybe thinking it took longer to make fried chicken wings compared to fried shrimp. It wasn't until I walked up and asked about my order that I knew something was wrong. The buzzer had never been initiated to go off and apparently the staff had let someone else walk away with the food. The staff member realized that he had made an error and came out from around the back to a different table where he assumed the family had grabbed the wrong order. He then checked and I saw him explaining that that wasn't part of their order and checking the bag and then checking their food to see that one of the chicken containers was open and already eaten out of. He then proceeded to take away the open bag back behind the counter. He explained that they had already opened and eaten two out of one container of wings but the other one is untouched so handed me it and said they took your order but you can take this but the other container was eaten by them. Then there was a long pause of what to do next. I was obviously frustrated at the fact that my order was screwed up and I even clarified. Wait this was handed out to someone else how do I know they didn't open up the container already? And he said no, it's full there are all the pieces in there. I was not happy at that point. He then said you can take this but the other part of your order will take about another 5 minutes to make. I was confused at that point not understanding what my options are. He also proceeded to shove the bag up and say you can take this now and eat while your other order is being ready or and then shrugged. Not even offering a full refund. Is it will I get my order or would I like a refund for the other part of the order that I didn't receive or can I get a refund? He gave no indication of what my options were and basically just kept pushing me to take the already open bag that had the one "supposedly uncontaminated" container. I don't know if he was pushing for that so that his manager wouldn't have to come out and issue the refund? The time that I spent waiting was definitely more than 40 minutes. Synopsis: I understand the confusion handing the wrong order to someone, that happens, but how it was handled, I do not agree with. I cannot believe going back to a customer trying to fix your mistake by going assumingely to the family that took it by mistake, taking the already open bag and then giving it to the intended customer without knowing for sure that the food wasn't touched or opened or eaten by them all of this can be seen. It makes me not want to trust the food that is prepared and as diners we put trust in that what is made is correct and not contaminated.

The dice beef here is better than the one in Philadelphia. recommend!

The flavor of the chicken nuggets was pretty good, although it definitely leaned on the salty side so I had to drink a lot of water alongside them. Maybe it would be better with rice? I did get it as takeout though so they were not crispy at all (even though I ate them relatively soon after picking them up). Also, some of the chicken pieces had a strange, super dense texture - I wouldn't really call it rubbery but it definitely had an unnatural quality.

I recently discover Cheers Cut and I would say that their chicken are tasty and tender. I haven't tried the squid since we already ordered from the other stall but we'll give it a try next time we visit this food hall.

It's been years since I have been to The Spot. During this visit, I visited couple stalls including this one, Cheers Cut. It was easy to order and took about 10 minutes to prepare. I finally decided on the Grilled Octopus. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor was spot on. Definitely will be back to try other items.

Honestly the only highlight was the chicken and the curry rice. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and crispy all in one, as for the curry rice it had amazing curry flavor with veggies. We also ordered some fries which were pretty good nice and crunchy yet soft in the middle with a nice touch of seasoning salt on them. As for the skewers the shrimp skewer had its skin on the entire body and was difficult to remove it was chewy and unflattering then the broccoli skewer was so disappointing I think it was like 2 bucks and some change for four little broccoli heads on a stick that was overly seasoned I would've rather have the option of getting a side of broccoli rather than a child's handful on a stick. The winner here is the chicken and curry other than that not at all really a come back situation here

Everything came out piping hot. The chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was massive and therefore awkward to eat. Possibly because I don't really know how to use the sleeve properly. The curry rice was a little bit spicy and was a solid veggie Japanese style curry. I only wish there was a little more curry for such a large serving of rice.

Would give it zero stars if I could. The "extra large" ninja chicken is criminally small. Ours came soggy, overly seasoned in some places and tasteless in others, and about half the size it used to be. I get that covid has caused increases in produce and meat, but this is unacceptable.

Wow if I could give them zero star I would. Was recommended their minced pork rice, and ordered a large portion. When it arrived I realized the minced pork was but only a spoonful in the large bowl. They should have just called it "minced pork flavored rice" instead. For what it's worth the minced pork rice was very good, but 5 bucks for a bowl of white rice and minced pork flavoring is a terrible value all around.

The service was great with the cashier being nice & friendly. My first time there & it will be a return for me to try more of the chicken & seafood choices! Place is "the spot," highly recommend to check out.
