“Although it was mostly empty when we visited on a weekday evening, the venue and convenient location are appealing. Friendly staff and fair prices, what's not to like. Being first time here, and not knowing the regular portions and size of the chicken, we ordered the whole chicken family meal with 3 sides. It was much more than we could handle. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! We changed our mind at the last minute, and decided to eat in. Can't say it's the cold temperature, but the chicken was cold to the touch for some reason. Maybe it was the extra piece we got. Regardless, it's worth a trip, and will visit again when I have a craving for Peruvian cuisine.“
“One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had! I love that it’s an all meat chicken breast, no fat or gristle on it at all. I had the medium level spice and it was SPICY!! I wouldn’t advise going higher than that unless you really like heat! The waffle fries were amazing! I had the waffle fries with honey butter and I loved it!! I definitely will be ordering from here again!!“

“Amazing chicken and just to warn you it is extra spicy. We got the medium and hot chicken sandos and the medium is hot and the hot is extra hot. We had the entire medium and half of the hot one. We also got mild and medium chicken tenders as well as the hot and extra hot chicken bites and my wife had a hot one and it was quite hot and well save the extra hot and rest of food for tomorrow for dinner. We got UberEats BOGO deals which made the food very cheap. So glad we tried Hangry Joes!“

Came down to Gaithersburg to go to an unrelated shop which was unfortunately closed; a bit bummed, we looked around, and found this absolute gem.My SO says the SOB tacos remind her of a good, home cooked meal, and I found the chicken reuben to be just as excellent, juicy without being sloppy.My SO also said the margarita was as close to perfect as possible, and I thought the aviation tasted excellent as well.I’m really glad the other place we initially came to this area for was closed, else we may not have stumbled onto S&G. “Been here dozens of times over the years. And the rumors are true. Easily the best pollo a la brasa place in the area. Chicken and sauces are reliably excellent and very reasonably priced. Feeding a family of four with room to spare for $22 is something you can't even do at McDonalds these days. Sides are limited in variety, but they're ok. Only gripe is the fried yuca is often chewy, hard, and/or dry. But skip that menu item, and you'll be fine.“

We ordered online, and the gentleman who got our food for us when we arrived was so welcoming and kind. The food smelled amazing, and for about $16 per person, we both got more food than we could eat.We will definitely be returning. Such delicious fried chicken, it's really a stand-out place.“
