The food is very authentic northeast Chinese food. But the service is terrible!!!! Very slow and inattentive! Your first dish and your last dish could be 30 minutes apart!

We sat down as the lady started with our drinks first ,after about maybe ten minutes me and daughter and I both got the taro milk tea with mixed jelly .taro mix tasted almost like water , as the boba was really good . The lady came back about twenty minutes later, we ordered , I got the shrimp spring roll as my daughter got the vegetable egg roll . They were pretty good , about the best out of this restaurant . After twenty-five minutes our check came before the food and I see why , the food was gross . Here came the food. Only my daughter got something as I didnt know they have a limited menu after 9. I ended up asking for it to go because it took so long to get there. She got the beef noodle soup . Half the beef wasn't even beef as it was fat mostly , the noodles were doughy as heck . They probably gave us our check first because they knew that they wouldn't be able to refund us . I didnt even bother to ask for one. The atmosphere was good. It had a pretty bar . But the Cutest thing I saw was one of the bot waiters . Very nice atmosphere but the food was horrible except for the good spring rolls. This place is in Nosh as well.

Second time coming to East Dumpling House, straight off the bat I must say I already give it points for being one of the few great late night food options in Rockville! The ambience is lively at night with the disco balls and RGB lights, a well as the open karaoke stage. We ordered plenty of dishes, but focusing just on the ones I have pictured, I got the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow), Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, and "Northeast Fried Pork in Scoop". The dumplings wrapper had a nice texture to it that you expect with these classic Dim Sum shrimp dumplings, and the filling was plump and savory. The Eggplant in Garlic Sauce is served cold, and the garlic sauce was suuuper savory, pretty tasty! The Northeast Fried Pork consisted of fried sliced pork in a sweet and savory sauce, the fry on the meat was really nice, had succulent crispy textures! Service was alright, we received our dishes sporadically at different times, with varying lengths of time between each dish. Not a big deal, but there was a point where we weren't sure if our order for the remaining dishes were still coming or not. Overall it's one of Rockville's OG Chinese places, and a great option for late night eats!

Came at 12:30, not super busy but definitely people present. Issues that came up:1) Was told we needed to order from lunch menu but was not initially provided lunch menu. Asked for an item, told not on lunch menu, pointed out it was, got order in.2) Took 20+ minutes to get our drinks.3) My food came out after 30ish minutes. Food was just okay. Not bad, but not phenomenal - I ordered the house dumplings pan fried.4) Friend's food didn't come out after an hour+ (Vegetarian dumplings). Had to leave and requested food get packed up and taken to go. Also took a long time. Then they didn't bring the check, had to flag someone down. Then had to flag someone down to TAKE my card.Overall avoid this place, was not worth the time/taste/pricing.

Been here several times and it's always consistent, delicious and well worth your money! Please order the dumplings while you are here, they are legit. I think unfortunately some servers only speak Chinese so if you have that as an issue , you may get away with pointing. At least that's what my friend did. House Dumplings were the best in my opinion. But also Pork and Chive, pork and dill, and Shrimp corn. Cliche foods that I loved was Kung Pao Chicken, String beans, Lamb Kebabs (lamb on stick with cumin seasoning, NOT ground lamb). The house soy sauce is sooo good! Overall friendly casual atmosphere with nice people. You can keep to yourself mostly as the waiters are not all in your business, but prompt when requested.

Very disappointed. The bbq skewers are not fresh, it tastes sour. My kid loves dumplings, but she didn’t like the dumplings last time, I thought to give it another try today. Now I regret. It’s gone down

The food at East Dumpling House tastes like home. Highly recommend Guo Bao Rou (锅包肉), House dumplings, lamb kabobs, and pork and dry tofu w/ green pepper (尖角干豆腐). I don't recommend the triple veggies (地三鲜) here.It has been very busy lately on Saturday evenings. The parking can be a bit stressful, too. I might try to come for lunch in the future to avoid the crowds.
