Hank Dietle's has been renovated and is a little oasis on the congested Rockville Pike. The new co-owners are doing a fabulous job of recruiting bands. There's always a band during Happy Hour (no cover) and then another band at Night-time (modest cover). They sell beer, wine, sandwiches and chips 'n dip. The customers are nice and typically middle-aged or older; the co-owners and staff are wonderful. It's definitely chill; has a nice, comfortable atmosphere; and is a good place to make friends. I highly recommend it.

It was a dark & rainy new year’s day night and I stumbled into Hank Dietle’s completely by accident. Little, I mean Dietle, did I know there are a) real live roadhouses in montgomery county with live musica 7 nites a week and b) every monday night is blues night! There was a powerful wind that night but what blew me away was the new years blues music. Lets just say I was considering making it a dry january but thanks to the blues im gona make it a cry january.

My company had our holiday party here and it was EXCELLENT! Great staff and coordination! Shout out to Gina, Sarah, Charlie, Alan and Seth! Also, the catered food was great from Sonia’s Table - (ig: sonias.table) . Also, we had live music play from Little Red & the Renegades and they were SO GOOD. Super sweet people and so welcoming! Also, they have LIVE music 6 nights a week - don’t miss this gem!! It’s a blast from the past in all the right characteristics! A homey, feel good environment tucked away in Rockville. RUN, don’t walk and make sure you check out this spot! You can also check out their website to see which bands are playing and you may want to buy tickets ahead because they do sell out!

Order your tickets ahead, because they will sell out depending on the band. Great selection of beers on tap and in bottles as well as cider s and seltzers. They also have wines by the glass. Also, they have an assortment of comfort bar food. Plenty of free parking. Spacious restrooms and a friendly crowd of patrons. No table service, but very friendly and quick bar service.

Went to the Monday Blues show absolutely enjoyed the music, watching the dancing and the delicious apple cider on tap. Great welcoming atmosphere with eclectic furnishings in this small cozy neighborhood bar !
