We stopped here a few times when we were doing work at JHU-MC in late 2020-early 2021, and this roasted chicken was so good. Get the half chicken with brussel sprouts and yucca fries. The yellow amarillo dipping sauce was my favorite.

Very nicely seasoned chicken and great sides, my favorite being the yucca fries. My absolute favorite thing here is the spicy green sauce, which I believe is called Aji Verde. Goes great with the chicken and yucca fries.

My husband and I Highly recommend this place! My husband loves Peruvian chicken, but I'm generally not a fan of chicken, but we both love Poyoteca's chicken and the sides and desserts are DELICIOUS!

Although it was mostly empty when we visited on a weekday evening, the venue and convenient location are appealing. Friendly staff and fair prices, what's not to like. Being first time here, and not knowing the regular portions and size of the chicken, we ordered the whole chicken family meal with 3 sides. It was much more than we could handle. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! We changed our mind at the last minute, and decided to eat in. Can't say it's the cold temperature, but the chicken was cold to the touch for some reason. Maybe it was the extra piece we got. Regardless, it's worth a trip, and will visit again when I have a craving for Peruvian cuisine.

Everything was good except chicken.Restaurant was cleaned and staffs were friendly and got good portions of food.Unfortunately, the main dish, chicken, didn't taste like charboiled chicken. I could taste and smell their seasonings but it was backed chicken at most.I am fan of Peruvian chicken and got much better chickens from other places

Hands down, no debate, best Peruvian/latin spot in the area! I’m picky with my Peruvian/latin food in general so take what I say at face value. The chicken is so juicy!!!! Their Yuka is perfect! Soft and fresh unlike other places that sell you rocks. Their coleslaw is the best coleslaw I had at any restaurant anywhere in my life. Seriously just come here to try their coleslaw. It pairs so good with the chicken too. Oh and their lomo saltado with steak is to die for! My only complaint is the portion of the dish is not big enough for 20 bucks but hey that’s inflation for you. Thank your local politician for printing money carelessly and spending carelessly on special interest groups. I digress. Amazing quality! Amazing service! These people do it right! I only wish I found this place sooner.

I live 3 minutes from here and went with my brother early January of this year but did not eat anything at the time. Knowing how he operates, if he says something is good, then 99.7 of the time, he is accurate. Fast forward to today, I felt compelled to venture out a bit. I was curious about the bowls the establishment had and went with the chicken bowl option. Big picture, the bowl is,very deceptive in size. It could be assumed it would not be enough, but factoring you get steak fries, white rice, onions and the chicken [in my case], that goes along way. The chicken, was incredibly moist and tender. On the bottom in the bowl, there is broth from the chicken to keep everything from not being dry- which was a bonus. The fries was excellent - but of course it was not the star of the show. I will say the chicken and the onions were the star because it balanced everything out. If it were not for those two components, I think the rice would be a little bland. There were so many notes as I was tasting everything and I can feel the passion while discovering new aromas. All in all, a very simple bowl with so much zest and flavor - yet total perfection at the same time.*I like how the establishment has rewards points so I will be back periodically.

This place is actually really good. I kept walking past it on the way to other restaurants in the same complex, simply because I didn't think roast chicken was enough of a reason to stop in. But I've tried it three times now, and each time I had a five-star meal.I agree with the other review that says the southwest bowl is fantastic. I've also had a quarter of roast chicken a couple of times now, and it's great. The chicken itself is delicious, but the side dishes are especially so. The green beans and mashed potatoes (especially with gravy) are a lot more savory and flavorful than such side dishes typically are.

Doordashed. Fine plantains. Massive portion of green beans. The best Peruvian chicken ever. So moist and juicy. Perfect skin. Only the salsa verde was iffy. Still 5 Star.

I had a chicken Saltado Bowl. It was very tasty, but there was almost no chicken. Tons of rice and fries, both of which I like very much. But very disappointed the amount of chicken could have fit on 2 soup spoons. In addition, was very surprised being there at lunch time and the venue was empty. With the exception of one man that was there, but not eating, the other 2 people at tables were staff members.Parking: Typical large strip shopping center parking.

Decided to come here for a quick lunch during work. When I walked in, it smelled so good I was so excited to try out their food. I got their southwest bowl with chicken. The chicken was a bit tough and I felt like the whole dish was very salty. I was drinking so much water while eating this that I honestly could not finish. This is just my personal preference. I normally don't like food that is overly salty and this didn't feel like that I would come back again for. Perhaps I would come back to try their Peruvian chicken.
