They have rebranded the restaurant as "Glenwood's". If you want to compare it to an existing chain, think Copper Canyon, as they are under the same corporate umbrella. This was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is on the subdued side, even though most of the window views are of Wootton Parkway. The food was very good. The jumbo lump crab cakes were filling and meaty. I enjoyed their cocktails as well; just the right mixture. Highly recommended!

This is one of a number of restaurants in Rockville North Bethesda, that cater to the business lunch crowd. I have visited several times, and found the food to be fresh and plated. Well. Service is always good. On occasion, the price surprises me, but one doesn't come here for the value, but rather the convenience. I recommend this restaurant to other lunch goers.

This was my first experience at Stanford Grill. Our waiter was excellent. The bartender made my mimosa with pineapple juice rather than orange juice, but graciously replaced. The summer salad with salmon was great and so was the Key-lime pie. The restaurant was a bit noisy which was something we wanted to avoid. I would definitely recommend it!

We there specifically for the prime rib. It was cooked perfectly and delicious but had huge chunks of fat in them. The kitchen sent us out an extra slice to make up for this issue. Stuffed baked potato and bread pudding were both yummy too. Service was excellent.

We shared two appetizers and a salad and just the appetizers would have been enough. the rainbow sushi was better than most Japanese restaurants. The calamari was crisp without heavy breading and the salad dressing was superb. Our waiter was thoughtful and knowledgeable and accommodating. I never write reviews but both the chef and waiter earned this.

It’s probably the atmosphere that was a turn off for me. A little stuffy a little too dark. It felt a little too extra for just meh food.

We had a wonderful lunch. The food was amazing, little slow on the service, but they were overwhelmed. Definitely will go back and have their sushi, that was the best part of my whole meal. Their sushi is amazing.

Service was excellent. Positives: cocktails, sushi, house salad, mashed potatoes, trout, cole slaw. Disappointments- boneless rib eye steak (a special) was mediocre. But despite this the overall dining experience was positive

Jazz at the bar was kind of loud. Manager is running around keeping everyone on task. Sushi at a Grill? It was funny watching my wife and mother-in-law try to eat sushi with a fork. My french dip was ok. Bread was black rather than toasted. Menu is very similar to Copper Canyon (same company?) Doubt I would drive past the Rio to this location.5 years later Update.Service is impeccable. Fast, efficient and make sure it's right.Unfortunately... They didn't bother to check the prime rib. I asked for as close to Rare as possible. They said Mid Rare is what they could do. Sadly I was presented with a Mid-Well 16 oz primerib. My green beans were undercooked and not real pleasant to eat. Had I not been with a large party I would have asked for something else to eat. Instead I quietly choked down $40 of blah steak. (I really wish I had just ordered the fish and chips.) Key Lime pie saved the meal.Think it may be another couple years before I give them another shot.

First, the hostess staff was very uninterested in seating us for our reservation - so by the time we sat down, things were already off the rails. Wait staff had the same level of enthusiasm - low.Foodwise, it was meh. They seem to be catering to an older crowd...like bring your own teeth. Because you'll need those teeth for the green beans. Might be the 1st time I chipped a tooth on a green veggie. It would have been nice with a little effort - a smile anywhere would have gone a long way, but there was almost zero service
