This is a little cozy lunch or dinner place right at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.I haven’t expected much before I walked in, but the food quality is superb, and the quiet atmosphere and delicate staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The tempura is delicious. Sushi is fresh, miso soup -amazing. They even have coupons and deliver to the house.I will be back with my friends.

This restaurant has the best sushi that we have tasted in Maryland. We are also New Yorkers who have experienced excellent sushi so trust our judgment please. Ha ha. They also provide friendly excellent service and they have recently redone the interior of the restaurant which is most comfortable and very attractive. Highly recommended for a fabulous well priced meal!

I took my wife and two daughters here for lunch on Sunday. We ordered a couple of rolls, ramen, and the Sushi and Sashimi Tray. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is excellent. We will definitely go back. This is the best sushi restaurant in the area.

Sushi here is not bad but definitely not the best I've had. I would say its just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to get sushi here but if I'm in the area then I probably would visit. In terms of portions, the sashimi slices were quite generous. I do wish that there was more variety in sushi options. Overall, it was an ok experience.

We had our 1st experience here tonight and it was very nice. We were greeted warmly and our waitress Amy was so sweet to my children. She checked on us multiple times. The food was excellent!!!! We got 4 different sushi rolls and the delicious fried cheesecake. We definitely will be coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I got takeout from them 2 days ago. The food was good and the staff was very accommodating of allergies- However I became extremely sick yesterday morning and was diagnosed with Norovirus due to contamination.

Was looking for a local sushi joint that had late hours, and this place was open till 10. It wasn't busy at all when I arrived, only one other table, but the weather was lousy. I was greeted quickly, seated and welcomed. The menu is really quite expansive, but my tastes are simple. I got a bowl of Miso Soup, a Philly Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll with crunch added, and their Godzilla specialty roll. The soup was good, although it could've been hotter. The rolls were just as expected, with the Godzilla roll being deep fried, unusual, but tasty. My server checked on me multiple times, refilling my soda and water each time. My bill came to about $40. Would definitely return.
I’ve tried almost every sushi place around, and Sushi Oishii is by far the best! The quality of the fish is amazing, and I’m very particular about the amount of rice on each roll (I hate when there’s too much) and this place does it perfect. The service is excellent, they’re so kind and very speedy. If you’re looking for sushi in the area, sushi oishii is where it’s at.
