I was in the area for work, I travel a lot. I got tired of fast food and wanted something different. I looked up this place and saw the reviews but decided to go get my own experience. I walked in and the young lady looked right at me didn't acknowledge me for 4 min. When she finally did I told her I saw the reviews and decided to come experience things for myself. I ordered a Catfish platter, Mac n cheese, yams and two extra things of cornbread. Well the fish wasn't done, food had no flavor and the cornbread tasted old. I called to let them know I wasn't satisfied and returned the food, which they remade and gave me everything I previously ordered. And that too wasn't done. So I just left and went get me Five Guys. The Catfish wasn't even Catfish, the noodles from the Mac n cheese was over cooked. Bad experience overall.

This was our first time at this restaurant. I stated that to the cashier, and she was simply nonchalant. In my opinion, if that were my establishment, I would show some enthusiasm about welcoming new customers, but that is not what we received. She probably was more concerned about the phone call she was on...The food was good, I mostly enjoyed the sweet potatoes. Fried chicken was ok. Rice and collards were good as well.

So I called to place a order, the girl puts me on hold so long she forgot about me. So I traveled to the location while still on hold and confronted the girl at the counter about me being on hold so long. Of course she forgot I was on hold and pretended like she never talked to me. So I show her my phone , as I'm still on hold and she proceeds to tell me that that's not the restaurants number. So I hang up and call back, and the restaurant's phone rings right while I'm there. So then I ask her was she the one who put me on hold, and she lied straight to my face and said no, when I recognized her voice. That's the only reason I'm leaving this one star service review, is because she blatantly lied!

I got the 4 Piece Chicken Meal with wet jerk sauce on the side, greens, and mashed taters with gravy. An amazing first impression of plentiful portions.Juicy and flavorful chicken fried like home. Greens were large and tender with a great bite. Potatoes were buttery with a rich homemade gravy over them. Corn muffin was also tastey with melted butter. Overall great home cooked experience looking forward to trying more menu items. As the kids say, bangin!

Nice amount of food. Expected slick (thin hand rolled) dumplings, wished the broth and chicken was more flavorful. Did not get a receipt for my call in order, I should have asked for it when it picked up, assumed it was in the bag. I just felt that the price I paid, almost $50, it would have been better than Dayton's. The food was hot. This was my 1st experience. I will visit again and try something new.

The food(smothered pork chops, collards, yams, and mac&cheese) was delicious my mom and i shared. The servings were plentiful. The service was excellent and respectful of my time. The location is off Rt 50, don't pass it up. The have a quaint establishment, but the ladies are working hard in the back.Parking: 12 parkingWheelchair accessibility: It is not wheelchair accessible, low threshold but doorway is a bit narrow.
