I don't know why but I was skeptical about Dive Bar & Grille but husband, daughter and I had a great experience and delicious food. The upper level of the restaurant was reserved for a birthday party, but that was fine we went down one level (are there three levels to this restaurant?) We were seated in a booth at the rear of the restaurant in a quiet corner. Perfect! Shortly after we were seated our server, Morgan came to our booth and greeted us. Being our first visit we had some questions about the menu but had already settled on drinks so went ahead and order some delicious drinks called "Sucker Punch". While we were sipping our drinks we studied the menu. Morgan came back shortly and was very patient answering our questions. We ordered an appetizer of soft pretzels with cheese dip for the table. Rich finally settled on a fried chicken sandwich with fries, Jen ordered a French dip with tots, and I ordered a hummus platter. The appetizer was decent and Jen and Rich seemed to enjoy. After nibbling on that for a while out came our entrees. The portions were so generous! I was surprised Rich ordered a fried chicken sandwich but he took one bite and was a happy man. I tasted the chicken and I could understand why. The chicken was moist with a perfect crunchy coating. The only minor complaint was his fries weren't very crisp. Jen loved her French dip and dug right into the pile of tots that did look delicious. And then there was my hummus platter. The platter included traditional hummus, black bean hummus, pita chips, celery and carrot sticks. It was so big that I ate my fill, I shared some with Jen and Rich, and we still had enough left over for lunch the next day. Needless to say we totally enjoyed Dive Bar, the ambiance, the service and the food!

Really nice to go for brunch or dinner. Pretty and on the river. Food is good and came out fast. Very polite staff. Also has a speakeasy bar below it. There is also a walking trail right across the river, you walk to historical bridge to. Great for a date. Parking is around the back from where you arrive.

We enjoy going down stairs to the bar because it's close to home and they have a pool table. We are not fans of the food personally. It's very quiet and just a good hangout spot.

The outdoor seating would be lovely if I didn't have to listen to loud love making ballads while eating lunch. If you're going to play music to an audience that can't relate, can you keep the volume down?

Went for late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Sat outside on a lovely day in Mid-March. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was excellent! Good draft beer selection.

This place could be so much better. It's sad that it has lost its Local customer base. It's no longer a neighborhood stop, it's having trouble finding its identity. Sad we locals have to drive 5-8 miles in any direction to enjoy a cocktail, meal and some entertainment .

Worst night of my life. I showed up at midnight on Friday and they were closed. They were all hanging out in the corridor while I waited for my Uber and said sorry as if that could fix anything.

Feb 2024: This bar and restaurant is inside the Savage Mill complex close to Laurell, MD. The area is pretty cool but the restaurant was kind of plain inside. We really hated how cold and drafty it was inside. That said the food is good to go. The fish tacos were 10/10 and the smoked Gouda omlette was 8/10.
