If I could give them zero stars I would. I went in there last week to inquire about some jumbo cupcakes for my daughter's birthday on Friday and they said as long as you come in BY Wednesday it wouldn't be a problem. Went in there on Tuesday and they proceed to tell me they have stopped taking orders and can't help me. They did this same exact thing last year. Do not trust whatever they tell you when you go in and ask. Terrible customer service! Will never frequent this place again!

The most delicious local bakery in the area. Have a great vegan options for those with allergies. I am allergic to eggs and dairy and I got a birthday cake from them and it was super moist and delicious. Also has great affordable prices! My family loves to get their tarts as well!

Anyone in the Severna Park area that would love a fantastic cake for their next celebration should visit Kirsten’s Cakery. Their cakes are made fresh DAILY, unlike some other places that get their cake blanks sent to them frozen and ready to assemble. This cake was two layers of vanilla cake, one layer of almond cake and raspberry jam filling. Kacee is so wonderful that I know whatever she makes will be amazing and I just her have free range. I just ordered a cake and let her design what she thinks will suit me.

Walked in. Not a single person to be seen. Waited a few minutes and someone finally appears from the back. I asked if they had pup cakes. She misheard and pointed to cupcakes. I said “ no….PUP cakes!” At this point she peers over the counter to see my pit bull (service vest on) and says “no, and I’m sorry but only service animals allowed.” I said that she had no idea whether or not she was a service animal obviously. She responded with “I’m sorry sir, it’s our policy.” With this much attention to detail, it’s no wonder the bakery display was over half full 5 minutes before close.

I know prices are high and we have never had an issue with cakes from here and have always been awesome looking. But today picking up 2 cakes for my sons birthday and needless to say we are very disappointed with the design. All the other cakes we’ve gotten from here have been amazing but the sloppy work and lack of design was not worth the price for these 2 cakes. Very disappointing for a place that has always done us good. My wife added the sprinkles to the one cake cause it looked like it was missing something and didn’t want it to look so plain.

Bought a pre made bday cake here for my daughters 21 st. First time customer. There is basically no icing on this cake. There is a thin skim on top and sides, however, No layer of icing in middle of cake!! It’s a big cylinder of choc cake made to look like a layer cake. Who does that! Also bought cake truffles. Gluey texture. Disappointed.

Pretty boring and bland. We tried two different cakes, the first was a rush order but the 2nd wasn't. The staff wasn't friendly towards me about the first one when I was placing it. Just over all meh. We'll go somewhere else from now on.

We had a terrible experience. Ordered a cake for our son’s birthday via email, went in a week ago to pay the deposit and then went to collect the cake today and they had no cake and no order. Only refunded when I was able to show the card transaction. I have no idea how it can happen but it did. Had a very disappointed boy on his birthday, so had to head to Safeway.

We've ordered cakes from Kirsten's for my son's 2nd and 3rd birthday parties. Kirsten is prompt and responsive via email. Both cakes were super cute and looked exactly as we had described. They tasted delicious too! We got a lot of inquiries from our guests about where we ordered the cake from. The cake was also $50 less than another bakery in central MD. We'll continue to be repeat customers for our kids birthdays and special occasions.

I stopped in on a Thursday to get a vegan cupcake for my child who has terrible allergies.My child took 1 bite of the cupcake and immediately stopped eating it. She broke out in hives, and had a serious allergic reaction. I quickly called them to ask what was in the cupcake. I was put on hold for a long time, before being told that they did not have an ingredient list. I was told that the owner would call me on Tuesday to go over the ingredients.5 days later… I received a voicemail from the owner with the list of ingredients. I immediately called her back and did not receive any phone callback that day. I called her back Wednesday, the next day, and finally spoke to someone. Kirsten was not apologetic to any extent. I felt like she thought I was nuisance for calling and disturbing her. I asked if it was possible that the employee gave us a non-vegan cupcake. She laughed as if that was the most far fetched idea ever.Kirsten, my daughter had a terrible reaction. You did not care, and neither did your employees. Have a list of ingredients for when someone calls back with another issue, and perhaps, sound concerned when another frantic mother calls because their 2 year old is having an anaphylactic reaction, to a cupcake, from your establishment.
