Just hung out here with a friend and had a drink and appetizers. Guacamole was delicious. When I admitted I couldn't eat corn tortillas they offered to fry me some flour tortillas and they were delicious! That kind of care is worth supporting. I'll be going back for a meal soon!

This was the worst, overpriced Mexican food or "Tex Mex" that we've ever eaten - and we lived in South Texas for several years. The salsa tasted like it was made with tomatoes straight from a can. The fajita vegetables were loaded with fresh garlic to the point that the dish tasted like more of an Italian dish. The fajita chicken was as hard as a rock and too crispy to even bite into. The fajitas were no more than shredded cheese on a tortilla and the guacamole for each our meals was brown. The chips weren't even good. Portion sizes for carry out were 1/2 filled sections of a portioned all-in-one paper carry-out container - not filling and certainly not enough for one meal, let alone leftovers. For the good money that was paid, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Stick to MiPueblo or another more authentic Mexican restaurant. This was such a disappointment.

I called in to place a GrubHub order to a nasty worker. She was rushing me on the phone , complaining to me about them not doing GrubHub anymore as if I have anything to do with that as they're still in the system as of TODAY so I'm only doing my job. She was just mean and nasty rushing me to tell her what the person wanted on their order. Then apparently they no longer did shredded pork Chimichanga's so she tried rushing me to substitute it with something else in which I would not know as I was placing the order for a GrubHub customer so I told her I'd have them call. The GrubHub customer called and got the mean lady on the phone and she was just as mean and nasty to her as she was to me. She hung up then called back and got the manager who apparently was mean also ?!?! This is how you run a business ?? If you don't like your job then give it to someone who will do it better and not be mean and nasty to the ppl that make it possible for you to have a job in the first place. Trash customer service.

We used to go to Rivera's a lot, pre covid. Our last trip was disappointing. When we walked in to the restaurant, there were several employees near the door smoking so we had to walk through that. The smoke was present during our dinner because they were very close to the open doors. When we ordered the waitress told us they were out of several things on the menu. No big deal but the awful cigarette smell and the dirtiness of the place ( our feet were sticking to the floor) makes us not want to go back. One of our favorite places has lost something during this past year. Bummer.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone whom wants Mexican food. I'm from Texas and this place is a joke. I ordered the can't decide platter. I couldn't finish it because yuck. Then I thought I'll try the tortilla soup.but that too was also like dish water with nothing in it. no flavor! I'll never recommend or come back ever.

This is a woman- owned restaurant, so I really wanted to support her. Especially during covid. Every time I go there, I am starving, and d*** near broke before pay day. The last time, my card did not go through and she still let me take my food, and pay her back in cash once I got paid. That made me want to come back, as a repeat customer. I am done though. One of the workers was outside yucking it up with some local yokels, and one of them recounted an experience with a Black person, where he stated, "Are you eye ballin me n&&&=r?!" Like we are back in the 1800s. Then when I came back to get my carry-out, and I was about to leave, one of them yelled , "How 'bout that Biden win?" "Don't forget Harris," I replied. "I am certain SHE had something to do with it." "Thank God right?" He asked. "That's right. Thank GOD." I know he was mocking me, and my culture. Our fight for equal rights. Our deep and abiding faith in the Lord. And after all that racial harassment, the food just did not hit the same for me. I felt like it had been prepared with a mixture of cigarette Ashes, hate, ignorance and entitlement. I know she has GOT to be struggling during this pandemic, but I don't owe her anything. I cannot go back there. It would be like funding white supremacy, or making an anonymous donation to the Klan.

Went for drinks and dinner tonight for the first time! Food, service and drinks were fantastic! We had grouper and margaritas, so yummy! Our server was so attentive and the owner was so nice to meet! We will be back! I highly recommend this local spot.
