The atmosphere is nice - my visit March 16 2024 - Staff shortage - wait time for beverage was 15-20!min - Staff did not implement food safety guidelines -, I witness a team member go outside with her gloves on and return back to the counter without changing them - also witness her cleaning and handling customers pastries with the same gloves on - my visit was for at least an hour Several tables were left dirty along with DIRTY dishes - THE cashier did not direct the order / direction of the line which caused a little confusion - both customers waiting for their beverage and making an order was on the same line -,MY beverage was not piping hot but warm -Management is aware on the weekends their establishment is very busy -,Please iimprove what I mention above and ensure your water is HOT and tables are clean

Cute cafe and hangout! Great for getting some work done as well! When we came it was really busy so our order took forever - maybe it was a little understaffed. The Nutella scone was amazing ? I loved the decoration and layout of the cafe.Vegetarian options: They also had vegan pastries ?

Super great place with really good coffee and pastries. The line is often very long and unfortunately the online pick-up is always OFF (haven’t been able to order online in 2-3months which is super inconvenient). Other than it often smelling like burnt toast, I have no complaints. Again, really great coffee.Kid-friendliness: Not super great for kids unless they’re studying or doing some type of work. Very much a telework spot!

Overall, it is a good cafe in terms of environment/decor and quality of coffee. I've visited this cafe about 5 times, and each time, the product itself tasted pretty good, however, the customer service in general is really lacking. The cafe could also benefit from a bus boy or bus girl to pick up the various cups, straws, stirrers, pastry crumbs on vacant tables and the floor. Customers get confused when they see cups/waste on the table thinking that it is occupied and end up taking their coffee to-go, even though it'd be nice to sit down. The various lattes, coffee selections, Americano, sandwiches (I agree with other reviews that the egg/cheese can be a bit greasy), and the pastries are made well. My latest visit left a lot of room for improvement - the Latina employee (dark hair/bangs with blonde highlights) was not instructed properly on how to make iced tea (it was basically a lukewarm cup of tea-flavored water filled to the brim with no ice - we did not finish it) - the tea should be steeped first separately, and then poured over a lot of ice. When we initially asked about the teas, this employee directed us to look at the list of teas in front of her at the register, even though only 2 of the 5/6 total teas were available (so each time we asked for/intended to purchase a certain tea from the list, she said it was unavailable, defeating the purpose of directing the customer to choose from the list). When I first asked her about a certain tea behind her, she ignored my question completely until I asked again toward the end of our transaction since nothing else was available. The place could benefit from perhaps another front of house employee to do stock-ups, cleaning swipes, engage with customers. In general, the employees here do not greet/welcome customers, give big blank stares, and generally make the customer feel rushed. The cafe could benefit from more outlets for laptop use at the two-seater tables at the back.

This looks like a very popular local cafe that people hang out at. It was very busy even on a weekday at 2pm. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato with less caramel to go, and it was still fairly sweet, but delicious. (I don’t like things too sweet and almost always ask for less sugar)As for parking, I tried to find street parking first but ended up parking at the Safeway parking lot across the street and bought something that I needed from Safeway also.

I love this place! Everyone is so kind and it's becoming a community staple. Everything I've ordered on the menu has always exceeded my expectations even though it's a popular spot I always seem to find seating when I visit

Placed an order for a hot quad shot caramel latte, then saw the barista steaming the milk and noticed that they weren't cleaning the pitchers between each drink so there was crusted milk all over the inside (huge risk for people with nut or dairy allergies as there is a lot of cross contamination). Asked the cashier to switch my drink to an iced drink for safety reasons, but then the barista gave me extra syrup instead of an extra shot, it was undrinkable and I tossed it after a couple sips. Cashier also forgot to check for out food, I had to go up and ask her about it and it had be sitting in the window for so long that the chips were soggy from the steam. Sandwich was good enough and baked goods looked tasty but I would not recommend getting anything else from them until they have a health inspection.

Very nice coffee shop, absolutely excellent coffee, but only (mostly sweet) pastries on the menu. I am not a morning sweet person, so that is not great for me; but the croisssants are first rate. The coffee makes up for it. I take it from the name that this is Ethiopian, a land with a deserved reputation for being the original source of all coffee and growing among the finest.

Was my first day and I already hate it even before eating my breakfast sandwich because the girl at the front is so sad face and not good for customer service and I don’t want to come again. The place is nice .

I have pretty mixed feelings about this place. They do have good coffee and some great people watching but I had to wait half an hour for my drink. They didn't have enough staff making drinks and things moved very slowly. The space is un-organized with lots of people waiting around for their orders and new people coming in and not knowing where to get in line to order. If you don't mind waiting a long time it's ok, if not you should go elsewhere.

Service was not poor, but was not good. Coffee was so so...not sure I would make it appoint return...but if I was waking pass and wanted a quick coffee I would grab it. Hope that makes sense ?

Probably great if you love really dark roasted coffee. Everything is labeled as “medium roast” which should already raise some red flags. The Ethiopian Guji I had tasted like it was way over roasted which I quite sad. I generally like light roasted specialty coffee and Ethiopian coffee can be delicious if processed correctly. I also had a beef eater sandwich which was fine. Slab of beef was a bit chewy but the melted cheese and onions were nice.

Have come here twice around 715am and they weren't open. If you don't open at 7am then change the hours on your website, door, and associated postings. You're wasting people's time and inconveniencing them. The lady that came to the door to say they were not open was not apologetic nor did she offer for us to wait inside. Do better.
