Extremely bland. Needed to use a few of the sauces at condiment stand to help. The filling is already Luke warm, then after adding toppings gives a completely cold burrito. They should utilize the flat top to heat the food. Service was friendly and quick but the place is empty and rundown. Needs a bit of cosmetic attention. All in all I wouldn’t return. Quite a few better options out there.

Today's fajita veggies in my salad are, hands down, the BEST grilled veggies I have gotten at this or ANY California Tortilla. Kudos to whoever prepared my Doordarsh order -- wish you could be that person every time I order from there. The queso was on-point, as usual.

I ordered for a pick up and I wish I checked my bag. I normally love this place but I am very disappointed in my food this time. Either the chicken in here is old or over cooked. Might be both. Not sure. I won't say not to go here because again, I normally LOVE this place. All I will say is, check your food before you leave.

Great food and convenient location near Trader Joe's. Friendly and fast service and I enjoy their burrito club.

The queso tastes artificial, like Velveeta with a cheap Mexican seasoning. It's disgusting. VERY DISGUSTING, to the point of ruining the meals I ordered. A restaurant claiming to have fresh ingredients should actually COOK their OWN FOOD. They should have queso that actually tastes home-made, actual cheese and milk melted slowly in a double boiler... not some mass-produced, commercial food-service 'cheese whiz.' Never ordering from here again.

Lived in this area for years, always going out trying new restaurants and new dishes. Always passing this place and think to myself that I have never been there. Put it on my list to go there the first chance I got. Boy was I disappointed. Went online, food looks good. Could not even decide. Finally ordered two burritos…they were awful. Was expecting it to be better than Taco Bell but it was really not. They gave flour tortilla, with a bunch of rice and bean. There was hardly any meat. It got soggy by the time I could get home which is less than 4mins drive. The place itself is jot horrible in terms of atmosphere, because they have indoor and outdoor patio dining. I was really hoping for more though, but I really don’t think I will be spending my money here again.Parking: Parking spots are really tight. Depends on the time you get there, but there are usually plenty of parking spaces during the night.

Has to be the worst California tortilla in the area. I’ve been living in the area for 12 years now and have come to this location many times over the years. It use to be okay under different management (I don’t see the old manager and haven’t for some time so I assumed he is no longer there). The food is horrible to the point where it’s not edible anymore. I had the class burrito with chicken and had to spit it out when I bit it; the chicken had no flavor at all, it was mushy, lettuce had a weird taste to it like it was old, a ton of sour cream that made it like soup wrapped in a tortilla, but overall it was the flavor that was terrible. They do have new tables I noticed recently, but the floor is still disgusting and always sticky for some reason. The staff… oh where to begin. There use to be really nice people on the line and at the front to greet you and take your order. I’ve walked in there the past two times to everyone being on their phone and then just looking at you like you just walked in their house without permission. My food was done, but I went to fill up the drinks I had so I wasn’t standing right in front of the worker. No one called my name or anything, we were standing there waiting for about 10 minutes, then the front desk worker yells, something along the lines of “hey you, you want your food?” I knew I wasn’t the only one taken back by her tone because there was 2 other customers there that also reacted when she said that and looked at me with discomfort. The bathroom also seems to be out of order on a regular basis. I love the California tortilla in Olney and I’ll make the drive from now on before spending money here. Guys, it’s nasty!Kid-friendliness: There’s a kid menu and boosters.

I just got a burrito from here, I'm having second thoughts about actually eating it... Smells like cleaning products when you walk in. I didn't think too much of it and ordered my burrito. However, on reflection, I think that's strike one. Strike two: I wanted to use the bathroom to wash my hands, there was an out of order sign. Hmm, where do the employees wash their hands? Strike three: despite the persistent smell of cleaning products, the floor was sticky as I walked out. Every single step. What do you think yelp? Yay or nay?

i have held off on writing a review-my daughter loves California Tortilla. i tolerate it-the space is dark, the floors are dirty, the walls have rips. but now...the last straw. usually the staff are friendly and the food is good but tonight the lady taking our order barely listened to us, basically ignored and shocker our order was WRONG! we didn't notice though until we got home so $20 down the drain. we ordered bean tacos and they made beef tacos and we are vegetarian.

I purchased my food and came straight home. I'm only a 4 min drive away. Get home and my tacos are cold and soggy. Ugh

Queso was so watery that my nachos became so soggy and mushy that my container leaked due to tares created by watery queso. Disgusting.

This felt like getting Mexican food in the UK. Was briefly excited by the hot sauce wall, but found several rancid bottles.

I enjoy the food at California Tortilla and this restaurant generally manages to get that right. However, the restaurant is consistently filthy compared to other Cal Tort restaurants. The tables and floors are always sticky and some of the sauce bottles look like they have never been cleaned. The plaza where this restaurant is located is very popular, in large part because of a nearby Trader Joe's which is always packed. This Cal Tort, unfortunately, feels like a ghost town even during busy hours, likely because of the lack of cleaning. Even when the restaurant is near empty, staff stand around when they might tidy up. The restaurant is even filthy at opening time; one would expect a good clean right after closing or before opening, but that apparently isn't happening. This location could easily double, probably quadruple, it's traffic if it cleans up. I would definitely go more frequently. As is, I mostly avoid.

This place is in serious need of a deep clean, not what I expected from a well known chain. The service was fine but the worst part was the chicken in my burrito...if you've ever heard the Sugar Hill Gang's song Rappers Delight...and the line "and the chicken tastes like wood" then you understand where I'm going with this...it was dry as hell, no more Cal Tort for me..
