This not a Puerto Rican nor a good Mofongo restaurant if that is what you are looking for.The Mofongo tasted like mash potato, no chicharrón nor garlic, and the rice was extremely salty. I suspect their Dominican dishes taste better, since this what it is.The waitresses were nice but slow.

The food was exquisite. Its flavor is so excellent that it reminded me as if I were on the island, in the Caribbean. The onion steak was soft, juicy and delicious. 100% recommended. Don't believe me, go. This meal was made by Mis Elvira. Blessed hands.

My cousins and I stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It is a part of a shopping strip off street so if you're not paying attention, you can miss it. I dropped my two cousins off while I circled around looking for parking. There is an adjacent lot next to the building with paid parking. Limited spots are available in the front, maybe 4 or 5. The server was nice but the service itself was lacking. My cousins had placed their orders by the time I arrived inside. I waited for the server for a few minutes but ended up having to go to the bar myself to place my order. I ordered the lunch carne guisada, the same as one of my cousins. I also added a side of platanos Fritos. Their orders came out first. That I understood. I kept being told that my order would be out. About 20 minutes go by, my server comes to tell me that they are out of carne guisada. It was no where near packed in there. The other customers came in after us so if that was the last of the carne guisada, shouldn't they have known that from when my cousin was served? I replaced the beef with chicken. That eventually came out without the platanos so I had to reiterate that I wanted an order of them. The food was just merely ok. As a Cubana, I was expecting more flavor from our distant neighbor. If I were to visit this establishment again, it would be just for the lunch special. I can't see myself spending more than $10 here. I was also charged incorrectly. My bill was for carne guisada. I once again had to go to the bar and wait to get the issue corrected. She tried to tell me that I ordered the guisada, which is true but that is not what I received.
Really amazing Caribbean food! Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Laid back atmosphere and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back!!!
