When we arrived, the kitchen was already closed. They were gracious enough to sell what they had left which was chicken stew.

Not only is this one of the best places to get authentic Salvadoran food, but this place is so friendly and does an amazing job offering different options. I had some dietary restrictions, but the employees did a great job at helping me navigate what I could have! Great all around!

Stopped by for breakfast after a friend's recommendations. Ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito which also came rice/black beans, and sour cream. Burrito was very tasty, smaller than I thought it would be, but with the beans/rice, it was filling. The rice/beans were OK, a little hot sauce really waked them up. Would definitely return to get one of the platters.

I recently ate at Patty’s Place, a cozy Latino eatery nestled in off street by Walter Reed. The ambiance was warm and inviting that created a relaxed atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of classic and innovative El Salvadoran dishes. I started with carne asada one day and huevos rancheros another time for breakfast while having tires replaced nearby. The attentive staff and impeccable service added to the overall enjoyable experience. This is a fantastic little dive with reasonable price and amazing Latin meal.

Listen when I tell you my expectations were far exceeded. My son insists that we make this our go to place. Never have I ever had corn tamale and now all I want is corn tamale. Paired with the rice and beans made it even better. The pupusa was good but the corn tamale was the star. Oh and the chicken quesadilla was so good as well. The chicken was great. Corn tamale with chicken quesadilla rice and beans and plantains. Perfect meal. Plantains seemed boiled first then seared. Definitely going back!

Only good plate thus far is Plato tipico. Other than that. Food is not really that great. I noticed that they're not consistent with the price for this breakfast plateThe owner needs some classes on being polite.

Ordered brisket and got some really big chunks of fat only. Check your food. Lady was really rude. Dude was cordial.

What a find ! If you're craving great Central American food, go no further. Patty's is the Real Deal. Outstanding pupusas, excellent tacos Al carbon and much more. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Tucked down a side street, but a terrific place to have breakfast or lunch. We'll be back for breakfast very soon.

I have lived in this area for many years and I've always wanted to try this place for breakfast. I was not disappointed! Reasonably priced, a wonderful authentic Salvadoran breakfast and very friendly staff. The place does have limited hours as it closes at 4:30pm and I believe it's only open Saturday until 2 PM. That being said it's a great joint for a quick breakfast if you're in the area!
