The taso bef (fried beef) with djondjon, slaw, carrots, and broccoli was delicious but the beef was a little bit chewy to eat. Overall, it's worth going again.

When we first walked in we sat at the bar and was greeted by the gentleman who worked the bar area… he was nice and his customer service was good BUT once he greeted us he had a young girl (she looked like she was new and was still training) take care of us and her service was terrible! She was on her phone alone instead of making sure we had everything we needed… took Forever to get our drinks( I had to ask her in creole 2 twice for a corona and rum punch) she had trouble opening the corona bottle so the guy had to help her… then she brought out our fried plantains but forgot the sauce, the silverware and napkins… the guy actually had to tell her… smh and then when our food came out we needed more napkins and drinks and she kept walking pass up without making checking on us until I got her attention smh then I had to ask her twice for 2go boxes… the guy ended up realizing she didn’t give us a bag for the meals so he quickly stopped us to give us one instead of walking with the boxes …. After we finally ate she gave us the bill with a gratuity of $17 which I felt she DID NOT deserve which made the bill almost $120 remind you we have 2 meals 2coronas and a rum punch with 2 dishes of plaintains and black rice for both…. I have been to a few Haitian restaurants and I never had to spend that much money on a meal or a gratuity… I had high hopes for the place because I was really looking forward to eating a good Haitian meal and being in a good restaurant but her service was terrible…. Overall food was good but service sucks and prices were a bit high with the gratuity

Wandered into PAP for an authentic Haitian meal tonight and Roberto Massillon (Chef Don Berto) and whatever magic touch crew he has in the kitchen did not disappoint. I was dining alone, and Chef Don warmly welcomed me (he happened to be at the bar engaged in vibrant conversation with some guests who were enjoying their own meals and cocktails at the bar) and invited me to sit with them so that I "wouldn't eat alone." My waitor (I think his name was Ronel??) was super friendly and appropriately attentive. My kabrit-en-sauce (sauced up, tender goat), sauce pois (bean sauce), rice, and vegetables were DELICIOUS ?. The portion was hearty (I ate to my fill and asked for the small remainder to be boxed up to go because I don't let tasty food go to waste, ?). Chef Don and my waiter obliged and even hooked me up with some extra rice to go so that my leftover goat and bean sauce wouldn't have to be "eaten alone," I guess, LOL.Do yourself a favor and stop by this Haitian jewel in Silver Spring for a taste of lakay (home) whenever your taste buds are craving an authentic, well-presented Haitian ?? meal in a bustling, friendly environment. You won't regret it.

The food is out of this world. The food supersedes all the Haitian food I have tasted in my path.

15/10! Delicious!! I had the goat stew (kabrit en sos). The goat melts in your mouth! The rice is perfectly cooked. Very delicious plantains and pikliz, too. Our server was very nice. The music and artwork are beautiful. I will be back!

I don’t have any pictures because that’s how fast I ate it lolI went there very recently for the first time, excited to try this place out because I haven’t found anything as authentic and as amazing as some restaurants I’ve tried in Florida when I lived there. It is hard to find good Haitian food, and after the disappointment and rage I felt in Baltimore, I wasn’t very inclined to give this state another try.I’m so glad I decided to stop by here. I ordered Griyo Kodenn, took one bite of food, put it down, and immediately called my siblings up and said they need to get here at their earliest convenience. Then I messaged my friends who I used to cook Haitian food for and told them how much better it was than my food. They were flabbergasted. You know that meme that goes “You better come get one of these… It’s the chicken salad”?…that’s me. I’m the “come-get-one-of-these” gyals ??Tastes very similar to Alberti’s down in Florida, which is the only restaurant my family swears by. There are very few times when someone else’s beans and rice tastes better than mine, and this is that place. Actually restaurant worthy and actually delicious. I don’t write reviews often for places, and never this quickly either. I may have been super hungry that day, but whatever piece of heaven I ate hooked me for life ?The only downside I can think to say for the restaurant is that it’s not open earlier so I can eat here more often!Whoever the chef is, you’re doing a wonderful job. Don’t know if anybody told you that recently. I definitely plan to stop by again in the future and look forward to seeing events in the evenings! The djon djon rice is next! >:DUpdate: I have had the deliciousness that is djon djon rice and I almost cried. LolY’all better come get one of these!!
