Ordering coffee is a quick interaction. It can also be profoundly negative or positive, depending on how the staff member taking your order treats you. The staff here were something else. I was greeted so warmly by the barista working the register. He expressed gratitude for being alive and at work, and showed genuine care towards me, saying he hoped I had a great day in a way that made me think "I definitely will have a great day!" It was refreshing to see someone enthusiastically kind, especially in such a stressful job.On top of this pleasant early am interaction, my iced espresso with pumpkin cold foam were delicious. After several days of drinking sad airport and hotel coffee, this really hit the spot.
The employees here are nice and it's a stressful job cause of how popular the area is. The drinks are well made and very rarely incorrect. Very accessible by bike thanks to the car free street outside of it. Almost always have all items in stock.

I'm not a happy customer, I purchased my drink and didn't receive my stars. I asked for a manager to see how it could be rectified. The batista had a laid-back attitude, telling me she had to refund me my drink and then ring me up again. Still no manager name, no stars, and the solution has not been rectified. I'm not a happy customer. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I'm going back to the Starbucks I originally was going to in Takoma Park. Service there is excellent. I'm out 25 stars because of this location. Starbucks looks like any other location except the service is horrible..
