If you're on a high horse, or you're not a genuine lover of humble people and establishments, don't even bother. This place is for the rest of us. Nothing fancy about this place. It's made like a coupling of large food trucks. Authentic Mexican food, ran like the spots in the Southwest and Mexico! I had the Birria tacos and horchata. Yummy! My son had a traditional taco and it was fantastic.

Overpriced food truck tacos, with a long wait on the weekend. Their salsa isn't fresh it comes in Taco Bell style packets and has ZERO flavor and not spicy in the slightest. They don't have soft drinks just over priced aguas frescas that come in a pouch, which when you puncture opened with a straw, will leak and spill all over you. The only thing that was worth going back for is their birria tacos.

Good service, great food!

Birra tacos were good nothing to blow my boots off. The corn was good I got the half and half. The mango drink was nasty, but that could just be me and my taste buds.

Pretty cool spot. Lots of outdoor seating. Not the best tacos but good and lots of variety in food choices.

I'm kind of sad that I found this place. Since it's really close to my gym, I have a feeling that I might undo my workouts by stopping at Tacos Don Perez for a post-workout meal. Tacos Don Perez is pretty much a large, outdoor taco stand that has a great variety of tacos and other Mexican dishes. For my order, I went with three tacos (I forget which ones I ordered). Overall, I thought my tacos were perfectly prepared. After finishing the tacos, I wished that I had ordered a few more. Also, the prices is pretty much on par with other places in the area. I believe my three tacos were about $11. If you visit outside of regular lunch hours (or before the kiddos are dismissed from school), the service is pretty fast. However the lines can be a bit long, which I guess confirms that this is a good place for tacos. The only downside to this spot are: 1. It's outdoors, so it probably will not be fun to eat here during the winter. 2. It's in a parking lot near a gas station, so you might smell a bit of gas while consuming your tacos. I definitely plan on returning to try more things from the menu.

With great power come great responsibility and someone dropped the ball. I was extremely happy for everyone in this location and super excited about the grand opening I waited till after the rush for the kitchen to open and boy OH boy I wish I would have showed up for the free tacos instead of wasting my money here on opening day! I don't know where the miscommunication was in my order, but it was incorrect 3 times!!!! Hoping this was an off day. I'll wait for the hype to die down and try again. Also, no need for any side eyes or attitude in your voice. Not the customers fault you may have been overwhelmed or under prepared.

THEY DON'T SELL WATER. IF YOU WANT WANT YOU'LL HAVE TO GO TO THE GAS STATION NEXT DOOR. WILL THIS BE THE SAME FOR THE NEW BRICK AND MORTAR? They lied and said that the new location on howard would have been open over a year ago, but they continued to lie lie lie lie lie.. Taking up parking spaces for people that came to shop in our neighborhood. By the way, in Kensington, there is no place to park. So don't bother going over there. Thinking you're going to find parking to have lunch or dinner.Parking: NO PARKING ON HOWARD IN KENSINGTON. LITERALLY NONE. I LIVE IN OLD TOWN KENSINGTON. The restaurant that was there before them is five thousand times better

The two trucks are the same business. The one with the desserts and drinks is where you place your order. I ordered the asada, Birria and chicken tinga with a cucumber lime aqua fresca. Other spots usually come with the consome for the birria tacos, so when they asked me if I wanted it I knew there was going to be an extra charge. The consome had rice and was not heavily salted. I squeezed lime into it to give it some zest and it paired really good with the chicken tinga taco. The agua fresca has a subtle sweet taste which is great if you don't like heavily sugared drinks. I will return for the chicken tinga tacos. You don't find those everywhere.

I buy the carne azada quesadilla, it is my favorite and it really has an exquisite flavor.

Food is very good! Today was the first time I placed an order via online. I placed the ordered at 1:30p to have it ready at 2:10p. Came to the window and they hadn’t even started on the order. I timed it in between my lunch break - that was a little disappointing. But over all - food is yummy and so far service outside of todays order has been good!
