The most obnoxiously loud restaurant I’ve ever encountered. Too loud to enjoy the food, and disruptive of the entire neighborhood (their music can be heard for blocks around). I hope they get shutdown.

The most obnoxiously loud restaurant I've ever encountered. Too loud to enjoy the food, I really cannot over emphasize how loud they are; one can hear them and their heavy bass for blocks around until 3am. I really hope the city shuts them down, they're just the loudest, most obnoxious restaurant you can possibly imagine.

If you're looking for a grown and sexy adult spot, look no further! We had a table in the rooftop area for Sunday brunch and it was a total VIBE. The DJ was setting the tone with a variety of tunes, and the service was amazing. Our waitress was Shaunta (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and she was super sweet and attentive. The Honey Old Bay wings were cooked to PERFECTION! Amazing amount of crisp and juiciness. For an entree I had the Catfish and Crab balls with grits, AMAZING! Flavorful and savory and the creole sauce was so good. I had the Social Butterfly drink which was not my favorite (I enjoy sweet drinks and it was a bit too strong for me). Overall, I will definitely be back and bringing all of friends from out of town to this spot!

I was at the bar on Sunday ordered a take-out order and was charged 20% gratuity for a Mixologist that I had to wait at least 15 minutes to take my order, (bar was empty) and the food was okay and salty. Not worth $98.00 I will not come again.

This place is horrible! Do not come here. The food is nasty and unseasoned. The brunch menu is not worth it. The buffet has cold food and not many options. When it’s time to close out you have to pay automatic 20% gratuity and automatic transaction, no matter the amount of people at your table. The hostess have attitudes and can’t answer clear questions. The servers are not responsive and does not check on the tables often enough. DO NOT COME HERE IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

We went for dinner at 7pm on a Friday. The food was good, but I wish the Society Salad had said cheese on the menu. Then I would've asked them to hold it. If you're dairy free just know it comes with cheese. The food was pretty good (I'm dairy free and pescatarian). The music was bumping club style (loud but good) and the service was great. I appreciated the hostess and our waiter. My only complaint is only having 90 minutes to be there. 2 hours would have felt a little better but I get it. They're running a business.

Tried this place for the first time for dinner. Everton was our server and he was so great!! So kind, helpful and provided great service. We tried a couple of appetizers and the fried seabass. Everything was great.

I had a blast for my first time. Good food and drinks. Music is a blast and the staff…AMAZING. Chante and Cameron are the vibe and the experience if you want to have fun.

Technically, this would be a 3.5 star review, but math tells me that I have round up to a 4. Overall, we had a nice experience having brunch at The Society. We wanted to try a new brunch spot in downtown Silver Spring, and we were not disappointed...by the food The extensive menu has a nice variety of Southern and Caribbean dishes. For my dining pleasure, I went with the Fish and Crab Ball & Grits, and my partner went with the chicken meal (3 pieces of chicken, green, mac n cheese, and a biscuit), and we both shared an order of the chicken wings. OMG! The chicken wings were AMAZING with a perfect blend IMO of sweet, tangy, and spicy. My Fish and Grits and his "Southern Platter" were pretty good. Also, the portions are huge, so you will not leave hungry if you order an entree. While the food was great, I thought the service could have been a bit better. On a couple of occasions, I had to ask for basic things for dining (e.g., salt/pepper/hot sauce and silverware). I was a bit surprised that we had to request silverware since we ordered food. Also, I was a bit surprised when the bartender did not let us know that it was last call for bottomless beverages. I would say in at least 95% of restaurants where I've had bottomless brunch, the server or bartender would say something like: Hey, brunch service is ending soon, so if you want anything else let me know ASAP. Ok, so I get that a restaurant doesn't have to do this, but it does add to the customer experience. Be aware that the restaurant adds a 20% gratutiy. I don't really have a problem with this, but just be aware so you don't tip extra . . . unless you want to. Perhaps, this is an issue more with the area (or rather the clientele) than the restaurant itself: I will admit that I was put a little on edge because the restaurant had a bouncer that did quick body searches/pat downs on the men entering the restaurant. I was like dang, do people really pop off during an early afternoon brunch. Then again, I guess anything can happen when mimosas are involved. Oh, I almost forgot. During our meal the owner (or as she put it the chef, cook, receptionist, AND custodian) came out and introduced herself to a few people at the bar and in the dining room. I thought that was a sweet gesture that somewhat made up for the struggles with the service.

While Brunch was a vibe, our server was horrible. She was rude, and acted as if we were bothering her when we were ready to order. She accidentally gave part of our order to another table, when we called it to her attention, she again acted perturbed, walked to the other table and pointed out her mistake to them, then we waited for over 30 mins for that food to come out. The service was an absolute mess for such a fun brunch.

The restaurant decor was inviting and set the tone for a comfortable relaxing meal. The tables weren't crammed together. The chairs were comfortable and the noise level was not intrusive. We were there for a weekday dinner with friends and it was just right. The menu was small but covered all the bases, and the food was well-prepared. Prices were reasonable. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I will recommend it to friend living in the area.

My bestie celebrated her birthday here. The team was so helpful and patient with us and the food was great.Parking: You can on the road but they offer Valet parking also. There may be some restrictions for the valet I can't remember but we got it as we had a huge party in the private room
