Cool restaurant with fresh, creative Mexican food. Wide variety of vegetarian and meat options. Friendly service. I couldn’t find anywhere to park and parked a ten minute walk away. Maybe there’s somewhere closer that I don’t know about. The new salad was super good and the pasole was good too.

The new location is awesome. Such a beautiful space and the food was authentic fresh dishes.Parking: Few spots at the restaurant and there's a lot next to it that was available.
Best Mexican food in the area!! Gourmet tastes/vibes for completely reasonable prices. The atmosphere is also awesome, with beautiful lighting, tons of space, and good acoustics for talking.Parking: The parking lot can only hold 6 or so cars, but the large parking lot nearby can hold much more
Recommended dishes: Quesa Birria, Chicken Tinga

WOW just went to the new location and it was absolutely incredible - beautiful ambiance and the food and service were amazing. In particular, the pozole rojo was out-of-this-world tasty - the perfect food for a cold rainy day. The broth had a bit of kick from the spices, and the crunchiness of the tortilla strips and cabbage against the softness of the hominy and avocado was just perfect. I can't wait to have it again

Dinner for 2: myself and my 11 year old. Service was gracious, but we weren’t offered a kids menu, which may have offered more palatable choices. The dishes we got off the main menu (variety of tacos and appetizers) were simply not tasteful. We asked for some cheese or cream just to improve the flavor and were served cashew cream as the only option—so cashew cream is considered authentic Mexican side??? The portions were mediocre despite the $, but we would have ordered more had we enjoyed the flavors. Instead, we left hungry. Having been hosted by families in Mexico and Central America while traveling on various missions, even simple beans/eggs/plantains in rural huts tasted better than anything we had at Cielo Rojo. Perhaps if you’re looking for vegan take on Mexican food, this is a good option.

We ate at the new location. It was very nice and so much bigger than the old location.
An amazing experience. The food was perfect. We totally expected this to just be Tex Mex plus a huge upcharge. What we got was easily one of the best meals we've had in the DMV.

As much as I wanted to love this place the food was quite bland. The plates are unique and seasoned well but they still felt bland which was quite odd.Aside from that, the atmosphere is nice and the service was good. Obviously we come for the food so I have to be honest and probably wouldn't fully recommend to visit unless they want a nice environment to eat.
