he food is ok, but the restrooms are in very bad shape. The urinal was out of order and there was p*** on the wall and it appeared the rest room had not been cleaned in a very long time/weeks or months.

Delicious! Loved the mom and pop feel. They were so nice and gave great recommendations. The chicken was a bit dry but the flavors were great! I loved the cabbage and the beignet was my absolute favorite. You have to order more than 4!

Super nice surprise stop on our road trip! The j*** chicken was amazing and I really liked the curry veggie roti. Tons of options (some vegetarian too!) and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Really warm vibe -- would definitely stop by again. We got a few desserts to go and would suggest you do the same because the portions are BIG!

I have been to Blue Waters on two occasions both to grab to-go food. They are typically busy so I would recommend ordering in advance. The customer service is great and they try to work out any problems or issues. You will wait for your food just a heads up. The wait is worth it. The food is truly authentic Caribbean food. All of the food is made to order which allows the food to be fresh upon eating it. I had the j*** chicken with seafood Mac and cheese and cabbage. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portion size is enough to fill you up for hours. They have a good amount of options to choose from and you will be able to find something that you like. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the wait for the food. However, I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Caribbean food.

I've been here a few times. I try to support black business in my area. This place is hard to support. Food always takes longer than the time said. I ordered a burger today for lunch that's over cooked and taste weird. I called the order in and still had to wait 15 minutes. I see the prices went up too. Good luck with ur future business.

I've been on a hunt for a great Jamaican restaurant since I've moved out here 10 years ago..whew. It's been a journey. A friend told me about this spot and I was so excited to give it a shot. I even told my cousin and we both went on the same day. In true Jamaican restaurant fashion the menu was limited, but to be fair it was later in the afternoon/evening, so I excepted that. I placed 2 orders of the j*** chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. I also ordered rum cake. Please excuse my large order, I was truly hungry that day. The wait wasn't long, I waited in my car and they called when the food was ready, my cousin ordered the same thing. On my way home my cousin called and asked if I tried the food. Of course I was driving so no, I didn't. He said the food is salty, even the rice. The only thing that wasn't salty was the cabbage and plantain. He exaggerates a lot so I just knew he couldn't be telling me the truth. I got home and my cousin was absolutely right. So this may have been a bad batch because my friend who recommended this place is Jamaican so we like what we like. I immediately called them to let them know the food was salty just incase someone cannot eat salt and they purchased their food. They said they would tell the chef, but I did my part. ‍ Highly disappointed, but the food was cooked well. So I know if someone didn't accidentally drop the whole salt shaker in the pot the food would've been amazing! I'm willing to try them again, but definitely not on a hungry stomach. The cabbage and plantains were great and the rum cake was soft and delicious!!

I only ordered carry out but was told I had to wait an hour and a half for my food. (I think that was just due to the time of day as the restaurant was hosting a large group at the time.) I waited. I got curry chicken & roti and their shrimp pasta. Pasta was amazing. Considered making the drive from Baltimore City back down there for more pasta a few days later -- I decided that wasn't a smart decision but I will be back for more pasta! Haha. As for the curry chicken, it left much to be desired. The chicken lacks a certain 'je ne sais quoi"... The chicken itself tastes unseasoned and just thrown into a pot of lightly seasoned curry. I didn't enjoy it and neither did my family of Guyanese natives. All that to say, the staff was friendly and luckily I got pasta as well so, what I did eat and finish, was good. I told myself I'll go back and give their j*** chicken a try because the young lady that checked me out mentioned it was a popular dish.

Trust me you want to get swept away in these Blue Waters! The best of Caribbean, Soul, and Seafood right here in the Maryland. Everything is good. I've been there twice for lunch. It's good to carry out or you can eat in. There is no real ambience, but its clean, renovated, and remodeled. A little music would be nice. The waitstaff is great and they do their best to make sure you have an awesome meal. The Go-To's Crab Cake, Rasta Pasta, blackened fish, collards, corn and peppers sautéed, J*** chicken. And they been bringing out complimentary beignets that are so yummy with alight apple flavor glaze. The Blue Waters got me; I'm not getting out!

Really enjoyed the food here. My wife and I were looking for for some Caribbean food (as we struck out many times) and this place didn't disappoint. My wife had the red snapper and I had the j**** rice and peas. Not to mentioned we ordered food to go it was so good. This is a must stop for those passing through.

Had this place on my list to try for a while and I was not disappointed! The food was amazing I would've eaten it all if I had room. The service was TOP TIER. Put this place on your list.

Middle of the road. I have ordered takeout over 20 times in the past 3 years. It’s 50/50 on getting a good experience. Most of the time when I order patties they are Burt. The last time we ordered takeout the entire meal was dry. Even the rice and beans. The time before great. Roll the dice. It’s on you!

I ordered through doordash. I will say, I was disappointed in the portion size when you compare to the prices. Give people there money worth!!!! I didn expect to pay $12 for one chicken pattie. When you can purchase six anywhere else for the same price. It was no different in size or taste. I understand....the price of food and hired help is expensive but you have to do better. If I had ordered takeout from Cheesecake factory spending over a hundred plus dollars as I did for my food. There wouldn't been any doubt in my mind....about the taste and the portion size. Gotta do better!

I went here with a large group of my lady friend, we waited about an hour to be seated. Once seated the wait staff was very attentive. I order a Bloody Mary and it was de-li-cious. The sampler was an ample amount of food and very good. It included a crab cake, and that thing was huge and well-seasoned!! All in all, it was a great day and I would return. Bon Appetit...

Blue Waters J*** Chicken is hands down THE BEST J*** IN THE DMV!!!! I had a feeling for some j*** chicken so I came on Yelp to discover a new place. I went to their website and placed my order ahead of time. They are not currently offering dine-in service, so once you park someone comes out to your car. I've said it before in some of my previous reviews, but it's worth repeating the golden rule for j*** chicken. If you HAVE to soak it in sauce, it's not good j**** The j*** chicken is supposed to be well seasoned and flavorful by itself. And FLAVORFUL IT IS! This j*** chicken makes me want to cry it's so good. I actually ordered it twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke the first time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
