Do your tastebuds a favor and drop by this place for soup. She made turkey dumpling soup today and it was banging. All of her soups are delish!!!

Jake's is close to my office and I've been grabbing lunch here sometimes multiple times a week for over 4 years. The food is decent, they do some things well and some things less well, fairly middle-of-the-road but good enough to keep coming due to its close proximity to my office and the people who work there are kind and pleasant. I'm sad to say that I think I have to stop coming here for the sake of my wallet. The prices have soared over the past few years. Just now I bought a ham & cheese sandwich on a bagel and a cup of soup (no drink) and the total came out to $19.95. I'm sorry, but even in this age of inflation that is outrageous. They charge for almost every add-on or alteration to the sandwich. I think they upcharged me $3-4 for having it on a bagel instead of bread. They upcharged for avocado, which is normal, but they charged $1.50 and only the tiniest two pieces of avocado are on my sandwich. It's not clear from their menu which things are considered "extra" and which aren't, nor how much they are, so when they ring you up it's a full surprise what the total will be. I didn't get a fountain drink because that would have been another $3.00 added to that for a "large" cup that's medium-sized at best. A few years ago they used to have appropriately sized large cups that made paying $3.00 for a fountain drink seem a little more worth it, but after the styrofoam ban they only have the pathetically small plastic cups and charge the same price. It's always blown my mind that there isn't some kind of sandwich + soup + drink combo situation. I once tried to get a grilled ham and cheese, no add-ons besides that, and they charged $4.00, no exaggeration, to add the ham, making a standard run-of-the-mill grilled cheese with no sides or anything come out to like $12. Meanwhile you can order a ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel for around $5. Make it make sense. I hate being the person to complain about prices. It's such a Kareny, boomery thing to do, but I'm feeling like I'm being scammed by a business I used to enjoy supporting. I know that I'm not the only regular who has chosen to find other places to grab a quick work lunch due to Jake's outrageous prices, and it breaks my heart.

Thank you for the wonderful service today when our group of 20 visited during the 12pm lunch hour. Everyone was pleasant, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was fed promptly due to our time constraints. The food was amazing as well! Jake’s is and always will be a favorite for us!!

Meatball Sub, said like mama made, but Little sauce, little provolone cheese, meatballs a little dry. I work in the area and certainly doesn't want to make me order from there again.

I recently moved offices and started regularly going to Jake's for lunch (and occasional breakfast). Every single meal has been great! Fantastic sandwiches/subs, great turkey chili, great breakfast burrito... and the service is always good. Highly recommended!
I come here every Monday morning for a BEC on a toasted biscuit to get my week started. Fluffy biscuit, perfectly cooked eggs with chunky beacon. Love it. Go to lunch is the Turkey Rachel.

Amazing place! Why didn't I find you guys sooner?! Been living in the area for 3 years. Getting out and walking more after a year of being shut in. This place has the absolute best breakfast anywhere! Coffee, blueberry pancakes, homefries with onions, and fried eggs. Friendly staff that remember your name. Definitely feels like a hometown deli or diner almost. Just solid comfort food that is consistent in quality. I'm literally compelled to visit here on my days off. Keep up the great work guys!
