“First off, I never leave reviews but I need to today because this place is amazing. The outdoor bar during the summer is the best vibe and the short rib meat on anything and everything is GLORIOUS. I just ordered the burger to go and oh my…. This may be one of the best burgers I have ever had. From the toasted bun, the excellent medium rare temp, the perfect amount of pickles, and the sauce. YUMMO IN MY TUMMO.”

“We have celebrated numerous milestones at Old Stein Inn from my dad's 80th to most recently my daughter's college graduation and more. We LOVE the authentic German cuisine and the Americanized twists too. The service is always warm and accommodating. “Hubby and I had dinner here and the food was great! Lovely atmosphere, decor, music ... small, quaint yet elegant and chic. Service was wonderful, food came fast. Hubby had the Cajun Crab and Shrimp sandwich and I had the Salmon sandwich ... both served with their delicious fries. “we recently hosted our daughters baby shower and Ray with West River Pit supplied the food. Everyone complimented us on the delicious food he prepared. Pulled pork ,wings and homemade meatballs and all the sides . And let's not forget the addictive kettle chips with old bay! I highly recommend Ray and his staff for any gathering. “I had a wonderful experience at Porky’s BBQ. My wife and I were hosting our family for a Memorial weekend gathering and we did not want to cook, so we called Porky's. The ribs were tender and juicy, the pulled pork was flavorful and moist, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure my catering order was right-sized, and hot when it was picked up. The portions were generous and the sauces were delicious. I highly recommend Porky’s BBQ for anyone looking for authentic North Carolina BBQ in Southern Maryland, and beyond!”

“Hospitality, tea, and snacks were amazing. We had the St. Patrick's day special tea along with a few selections from the regular menu. 10/10 would recommend. Reservations fill up quickly, so plan ahead. They do have a few small tables in the main area for walk-ins. They also carry teas, tea sets, and other cute accessories for sale. They accommodate small children as well.”

“I have to say, I was very skeptical when i walked in. It looks like a cafeteria. I got that catfish poboy and my husband got the brisket dinner. We were honestly blown away by that taste. We eat a lot of places and the smoke brisket was so delicious. The fish was delicately breaded and crispy and flavor was so good. I was definitely proven wrong in my assumptions.”

They also offer several rotating flavors of soft serve ice cream, so great variety all around. My husband got the pineapple Dole Whip in a cup, and I got the strawberry Dole Whip in a cone, both delicious! We will be back because the service was nice, and the treats were great!”

“I've been around for 68 years, and am somehwat of an ice cream connoisseur, and this little place sells what might be the best tasting soft serve I've ever had. I've read that there are quite a few different qualities of soft serve, I suspect Shady Side Soft Serve uses top quality. Getting a cone, and licking it while hanging out in the parking lot (sitting on my tailgate) with the other relaxers there is a pleasant treat. As if I've gone back in time. No hustle, no bustle.
