Regular grocer store. Nothing great about it. Nothing bad. I just wish they would cut the oxtails thinner.

I ordered groceries online which is something I do quite often with this store. I requested certain things as substitutes for the items that weren't available in the store. They choose their own subs anyway which were also double the price and I think they do this to make more money. For example I requested a 4 dollar thing of chicken and the substitution I chose was 5 dollars, they substituted my 2lb thing of chicken for an 11 dollar 5lb thing of chicken. They did this with other items in my cart as well, luckily my card was locked so substitutions had to be approved. I called the store and requested that they be exchanged for the items that I pre requested as substitutions and guess what? MY ORIGINAL ITEMS WERE AVAILABLE. By the time I did all this it was too late to approve/refund the items on my end so I just assumed they would do it on there's. They did not. So I submitted refund request because I didn't receive any of the items that they charged my card for as well as the items they gave me damaged which was only one item. They only gave me a partial refund. I will be getting my groceries from a different store from now on. I suggest you do the same.

I went to this store to return/exchange a flower arrangement. I went to the return desk but no one was there. Finally, a person in charge walked over to the desk. He didn't greet me. He just stood there. So I said to him that I would like to return these flowers. He told me to go to floral. I went to floral but the clerk sent me back to the return desk. The person in charge went to talk to the floral clerk then came back to me in a snappy tone and said let me see the receipt! He then said we do not hand out refunds for flowers that were purchased at other Safeway stores with or without a receipt. I thanked him for his time then asked him for his name. Roger's first mistake was when he did not greet me. He had this look like he was not pleased that he had to help me in the first place.Then he sent me to the florist as if she was going to assist me. When I told the florist that I had a return, she sent me back to the return desk without knowing any information. So now I feel terrible. They were both avoiding me. I deserve to be treated with respect. If you didn't want to give me my money back for the flowers, fine. You should have offered a exchange. I would have accepted that. Roger handled that situation badly. I will never shop at that particular store again.

I'm a senior citizen in therapy to improve my mobility. On occasion it would be nice to have the mobile grocery carts operational. I shop here weekly and the last 6 times all three carts have not been available. They don't appear to be on charging stations, so I'm not sure if they work. I live close by and like to use this store so it would be nice to have access to carts during the earlier portions of the day when I shop. Overall the store is good. I recently tried the drive up and go service - the young man was very pleasant. Management should be aware that more and more of my neighbors are opting to travel a little farther to the Dunkirk store for better meat and seafood selections.

Went in on Christmas Eve looking for something special for my something special. The flower lady was the best. Defiantly give her a raise. Please reach out to me so this employee can be compensated.

I use Drive Up & Go more than I go inside now. The point of this service is so that you don't have to get out of your car, you can retrieve your groceries and GO. Never that. I'm always having to call SEVERAL times before anybody picks up the phone and what I love the most is having to get out of my car to go inside and speak to a Customer Service person. If you need more help, hire more help. Don't have customers waiting on you while your employees are chatting with the cashiers.

I shop here often and continue to. This Monday 10/17/22, I went into Safeway to purchase the Monday meal deal for a 8 piece chicken. I arrived @7. I was told that the kitchen was closing and no more chicken was being served. I asked the staff why they wasn't cooking anymore chicken at the time and their response was they was closing. I let them know that your sign said available to 8 pm. They agreed that it do say that and suggested that the store should change it. I went to the customer service desk. The service manager walked me back to the kitchen to understand the issue. After talking to the kitchen staff, he told me yes they are closing due to staff shortages and could not do anything about it. The customer service manager did offered me a rain check but I didn't accept it. Along with other customers looking forward to the Monday chicken meal deal. I hope things get better from this point.

The Deli was so gross the Baked Chicken was floating in grease not so healthy for baked chicken so I asked for only the top pieces ! When I gave it to my wife so much for heart healthy food.Maybe empty the grease in the pan at least once a day ! It was 2 inches deep.

I don't know why there are so many low-star ratings for this Safeway, my experience has (almost) always been positive there. The cashiers and customer service people are always very helpful and nice.Just two exceptions-- I have seen one of the store managers mistreat the cashiers-- the same one has done this two times in front of me. Then last week, this same store manager was handling customer service when I asked him if he could give me change for a $20 bill. He was very rude and said "All day people have been asking us for money and not given us money."I told him that I shop there every week and he said nothing. No apology either.Honestly, especially because of how I have seen him mistreat store workers-- this guy has got to go. His behavior is unacceptable as a store manager.My only other concern is the fried and baked chicken in the deli department. Often it's great. **But sometimes it is dried out and very, very chewy. You can not even chew it up to eat it.Otherwise it is a really great store.
