We visited for the first time recently and while the service was excellent and the atmosphere fun, it was really disappointing that there were no seafood options as advertised on the menu (no shrimp!) and vegetables available are simply onions and peppers. This means for a non meat eater, very few options.

I just had lunch with my friend here. The food had okay quality at best but during our meal we saw a small white rat running around on the floor. We let our server know and he said he’d let the manager know but nothing was done to rectify the situation (e.g., we still had to pay the full check) so we stopped ordering immediately. That was an abrupt experience and I would avoid this restaurant until the rat issue is resolved.

I’ve been here several times and this time we were looking for a late night spot to eat after being turned away from Iron Age and we probably got there around 11:30PM and they said they stopped seating people at 11:00PM which is kind of crazy to me because their website and Google hours says they close at 2AM which is 2.5 hours from when we arrived. Please correct your hours on your website if you close earlier but it was very disappointing and misleading from the employees/company.

It's nice and clean, but the pineapple slush soju comes out 40-50 minutes after ordering, and there seems to be a problem with the machine that uses the chadol or planer. About 1/3 of it came out like crumbs. Still, the people serving us changed the grill and were kind enough to refill the side dishes. Personally, I don't like the variety of steaks, but the beef brisket and thinly sliced pork are the best. I was looking forward to the Honey Butter Calamari, but it tasted like eating butter.
Everything was delicious! The server was very attentive and friendly! We loved the atmosphere and we were with a four-year-old. We were so pleased to have discovered this gem! Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: This is Korean bbq and all about the meat! The sides are delicious but if you are expecting anything different, you might be disappointed!
I travel around the United States for work. Jongro is easily on the best Korean bbq places I have been to and I keep coming back when in town. The food is really just that good. Take it from someone who has dined at over 500 Korean bbq establishments this is in the top 5 on my list.

I went to jongro today for lunch and our waiter kept forgetting the items that we ordered (there was no lunch rush or many people there) and we also saw a mouse running around, which there seemed to be no urgency in catching. I come here alot but was so disappointed with today’s service and atmosphere that I won’t be returning. I recommend those to go to VA if they are looking to eat authentic high quality korean bbq with great service.

Food and interior deco is excellent. But you have to wait wait and wait to be seated. Stand at the entrance for 10 min then seated, another 5 min before you can order food, Not for a lunch if you only have 30 or 45 min. This is only thing they can improve, no wonder the place is empty during lunch time. Music is also too loud for lunchtime.
