My "go to" for a good ramen fix. Never had a bad time and have been coming back for years.

No frills. Just amazing ramen, chanpon, tan men, and tsukemen. After many a bowl here my favorites are the hot & sour ramen (a must) and the garlic men. I'll give the curry ramen a shout out as well but the hot & sour ramen rents space inside my head for free.

Went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy! I was seated right away and given 2 menus. One was for specials and the other was the main menu. It was easy and straight to the point to order. All of the ramen comes with standard toppings. I ordered meat and egg at an additional cost, but it didn't add much to the total price. I also ordered the dumplings, which were juicy, hot, and freshly made! My ramen came out soon after and was flavorful, delicious, and not too salty. WILL COME BACK AGAIN!

Ren's Ramen has the richest, most delicious broth I have ever had in my life. I've been to Japan and have had ramen at various restaurants there as well as in the USA, but nothing compares to their miso ramen broth. Absolutely nothing. And don't get me started on their fried rice, which they sometimes serve by request even though it's not on the menu. It's the best fried rice I've ever had. The chef is a genius. Ignore all the complaints on here about the seating situation or people feeling disrespected. You came here for the best ramen in Maryland, perhaps even the best in the world, and that's exactly what the chef will give you.

Yeah, this is definitely the best authentic ramen place I have ever been to. And the venue is super bare bones so you KNOW the food is awesome. I went to a lot of ramen joints in the DC metro back when I was specifically on a hunt for the *best* non-instant ramen meal I could find and honestly this is the one that ended up as top of the line. The apps aren't as good as some of the bougie-er places with chicken karaage or poke salad, to be fair - but the ramen itself? UnmatchedEdit: the parking definitely is a mess tho. If you can get a spot or find one on a nearby street, cherish it

Ramen is always good, with noodles cooked to just the right consistency. The highlight of every bowl is their broth, which is thick, flavorful, packed with all the umami goodness that one would expect from a great ramen place. Highly recommend!

The Ramen is very good here. It is flavored well and served hot. They have good customer service as well.

I got their Misp Tan Tan (spicy sesame oil is the not-so secret ingredient in this one). I usually can't finish ramen and have to take the rest to-go, but this one was so delicious I really couldn't stop!! I haven't had ramen with such a strong sesame taste before and it was 10/10, I can't recommend it enough. Service was also super friendly and SO FAST!! We super appreciated that. Very casual eatery and great food.

A little gem hole in the wall Sapporo style ramen joint. Lots to love in the food. The broth is so so tasty; had the Stamina Ramen which blends 2 different broths. I added extra tofu and bamboo. Also tried a vinegary bean sprout salad and an alcohol free Amazake, a sweet rice 'sake'. Ramen was amazing. However, I added extra noodles. It does not come with a lot of other ingredients so I feel like you will want to add in stuff to be full. On the downside, parking can be problematic and if the lot is full you have to find street parking. Also the ambience is pretty basic and charmless. But hey, you're here for the ramen. A meal for 2 cost around $50 plus tip.

Had the dumpling's followed by the Stamina Ramen. Everything came out quickly and was very tasty. Glad this place is still in business.

The food is consistently good in this unassuming Wheaton spot that is just nice enough to not qualify as a "hole in the wall". I say 4 stars as the service can be a little... let's say "short" and i know several people that won't eat here because they found the staff rude. I don't think it's that bad, but at least one staff member is very short, not interested in making any sort of accommodation and seems generally slightly stressed/annoyed all the time. Go for the food, not the service.

This is among the few real authentic Sapporo style ramen shops in the US.

Absolutely the best Ramen I’ve had in my life, it’s even better than the Ramen I had at Shinjuku station in Japan.I believe the family that Rens is from Sapporo, I can’t compare their Ramen to any in Sapporo as I’ve not been able to visit there yet, but I’d imagine this is just as good as any other Ramen you’d get out there. The only issue is the location, as the parking can definitely be hit-or-miss and the shopping complex is quite congested - but none of that matters when you sit down and enjoy one of their bowls of RamenMy go-to favorite is the Stamina, I’d highly recommend it
