Disappointed this time , their food prices went up and not as tasty . I got the chocolate chip pancakes , hardly any chocolate chips in it , I was not happy . I paid 8 bucks for pancakes and 3 something g for sausage , instead of doing a combo the waitress did everything separately to charge more Money , not cool. My buddy got the waffle with strawberries and bananas and she did the same thing to him , she charged for every item Separately , I told her about this and she insisted she billed me correctly , so I left her a small tip to make up for it . Owners were not there either , the place is going down hill .

This place actually used to be really decent. It recently changed hands and my family had an awful experience. My son got the crabcake. There was a huge hair in it. They offered to replace it which they did. Three of us got scallops. I've never seen scallops that were chopped up and like shoved together; it was like scallop chunks. And, the scallops were rubbery to boot.Disgusting experience, I doubt I will ever go back. Oh and their apology was to give us two free desserts. We still paid full price for all the meals. Unacceptable.

I was visiting Family in the area. I have eaten at Silver Moon several times. Usually breakfast (love their creamed chip beef and omelettes) and great crab cakes. This visit I was there for dinner. I ordered the seafood scampi. It was awful. Watery noodles with what seemed like frozen mixture of shrimp and scallops. Mainly part I ate was the added crab on top. This was not a cheap priced meal but I was disappointed that it was not cooked properly. Scampi should taste of garlic and butter. It was not super busy so no excuse. Service was great!!

It's a diner. These places house American staples as well as some of the most well kept employees (whether they have an attitude or good demeanor) I think it's places like diners where we find some of the best, or worst kept secrets. Luckily this one has all the good ones. From chipped beef to scrapple and grits. They got American stapes. Well cooked, nothing over the top. Clean and well kept. Servers were trained on the menu. I had breakfast, omelette, French toast, bacon, the sausage gravy. All good portions. Came out quick, hot and well prepared with clean utensils (this seems to be a challenge for Maryland/DC). Pricing was spot on 35 bucks for the food pictured. Plus a side of sausage gravy. Friendly service with a smile, recycled paper to-go containers for the eco-feeling self-conscious earth saving vibes. The only thing I'd say to change here is the way *subs* are rang in. I asked for sausage gravy added into my omelette. They charged me 4.25 and brought me a side bowl of gravy. I ordered a sausage and cheese omelette, they charged me for a cheese omelette and then up-charged the sausage in the omelette. In the future let someone know you're going to charge or adjust the requests to the kitchens needs or menus charging so it's transparent. This would normally be a 3* but, the portion sizing for the price (I didn't know I was going to pay for) was more than accommodating. Overall this place was okay. (my 4* go-to)

We were visiting the area for the weekend and my fiancé loves diner type brunch so I found this place on Yelp. It is a very on-brand from a classic diner perspective. Big breakfast options, the classic eggs, fruits, pancakes. My fiancé got the biscuits and gravy and it was a very large portion that hit the spot. They take CC but you go up to the hostess to pay... we sat there for a while before we figured it out.

First time trying this diner after the double t up the street was closed. The fact that they stay open till 10 was a plus but I wouldn't say the restaurant was the best. Saw sweet tea on the menu, but when we asked the server they said they just ran out .... But couldn't brew more ?? Menu was very small compared to other diners I've been to but they had pretty much the same stuff. Chicken noodle soup was great, but the food was average at best. I hate to say that it is kind of dirty and just run down a bit and even though the staff was nice enough, they did seem a little drugged out...

Double T diner one block up blows this place out of the water. Silver moon is dirty (tables menus and silverware) outdated, food mediocre, service poor-non existent. Employee sitting on cell phone. Desserts okay. Broken and dirty child high chairs. Very empty not a good sign.

Food was good, but they have the rudest person at register..I would have fired her on the spot..elderly woman picked up food as I was getting ready to pay and NICELY asked register person it was 35.00, but her bill was 41.00..this girl just vented and raising her voice to tell this elderly woman to calm down etc.. Then started yelling, just give this woman a piece of cheesecake..SOOO DAMM NASTY..So sorry to say, we will never step foot in this place again, if this is how they treat their customers..TIME TO REPLACE THIS B**CH!!

Really clean, great breakfast and friendly staff. Waffles were flavorful and wonderful breakfast sandwich with cheese (2 fried eggs!!). Easy off 95, which was key for our road-trip. We will go back!

Prompt service, food was great. Very historic diner, well decorated and plenty of desserts as a diner is expected to have. Can't beat their breakfast, but as I want a lunch today I had their country fried steak. Can't say enough good about it, maybe order two!

I've been told by a couple people to avoid Silver Moon , BUT i called Saturday Jan.30 about 10:30am . With the Covid going on you can't assume that what use to be still is , a lady picked up on the second ring , my question was do you serve breakfast all day , her response ,yes we do, we are a diner, in a little tone . I'm not even in the door yet and i'm getting attitude ,WRONG . less than three miles up the road is a Double T , they were nice and the meal was great !

I don't think my dog would even eat the scrapple. What's " scrapple " it's scrabble spelled wrong duhhhh, no it's actually in fact all left over meats that customers leave on their plate's..... this should be an episode of " dirty jobs "- mike Rowe edition. This is how I imagine it happens, mike Rowe gathers all the leftover meeats lol, I totally spelled that wrong but f*** it. Mike grabs all the durty meeats and takes emm back to the meeat grinder , grinds it up and puts it in a square press & VIOLA S C R A P P L E Enjoy you tax payer's I'm sorry but not sorry There's way too much food nowadays to even have scrapple. But tanks anyways if you red this mumbo jumbo. In all this place was decent. Coffee -FANTASTIC- Service Attentiveness Politeness Prices- it is what it is. Would I suggest it, why not. Oh I wanted coffee to go I had already paid for coffee when I was eating my breakfast so I paid for my bill and I asked the lady at the counter if I can get a coffee to go she replied to me that it would have to I would have to buy more coffee in order just to get coffee to go which I replied that's just d*** so the moral of the story is don't ask for coffee to go because you have to pay for more coffee even though you already paid for coffee when you had breakfast which makes no f****** sense
