I went in today and ordered 3 Italians and waited over 30 minutes. I went up to the counter and asked if my order was ready and was told I needed to pay before I got my food. I told them I had paid when I placed the order. They then said oh then you can take it.My food had been sitting there for 20 minutes and they didn't inform me at all it was done. I get making sure food is paid for, but if someone is sitting there, at least call out the name so they aren't sitting waiting.

Great food, great, friendly, courteous and helpful staff, and fast! Highly recommend the stuffies, calzone, and baked ziti! The pre-made take out options safe great as well, especially the stuffed shells, and much appreciated for night shift workers.

The service is always great, but don’t buy the pre-made pazzo from the heater- this is the second time I’ve done so recently, and have regretted it both times. My pazzo today was super soggy on the bottom and leathery on top, it had clearly been in the heater for hours. It’s pretty much inedible. My mistake, but figured I’d warn others to order your own fresh food, even if they tell you to get your order out of the heater instead!
I work nearby and have always liked amatos. However this store is really not holding up the amatos level of quality. My sandwiches always look like have been thru the clothes dryer.They use romaine lettuce on the sandwiches, and it's the pithy white spine, not the green leafy part. Who does that?The tomatoes are usually not ripe, seem like they have been partially frozen, and taste bland. Today was the last time I will go there. My chicken tender sub was far from tender, far too salty, and and far from good. the tenders were cooked until they were dry and tough.. Is there a manager even paying attention at this store??I won't spend any more money there and will suggest to my coworkers they don't either.

Roast beef and swiss sub with tomatoes, mayo, salt, and pepper. This is a SMALL! It was absolutely delicious and freshly made. 10 out of 10. To be inside of a truck stop, this place is a hidden gem. I look forward to coming back and trying more delicious food.
