Ordered 2 BLT sandwich and asked them to toast the rolls and got 2 sandwiches that were toasted with the lettuce and tomatoes in the rolls, soggiest sandwiches I've had!Maybe the menu is old, but the price on the menu was $5.99 and when I went to pay it was over $20 I was shocked to have to pay that much and then to find the soggiest sandwiches ever, my last trip to Amato's on western Ave

Amato's in Augusta is by far the worst Amato's in the State of Maine. I grew up eating Amato's amazing food from India Street in Portland which was the best. The Augusta Amato's should be ashamed, they have yet in a few years of trying to get my order right. I ask for no onions and I always and up with a few.... can you say cross contamination? I once got back to work and my Italian sandwich was loaded with onions. I always repeat myself "No Onions" The place is filthy, the window and doors are disgusting and the only good thing to look at, was the Amato's from India St. picture which is now covered by a broken freezer. I am done trying with this Amato's. I was also overcharged The owner charged me $24.00 for 2 sandwiches and a water? Lets hope my card gets credited back correctly. They are not doing the Amato's name justice. GO TO PORTLAND FOR REAL AMATO's FOOD! Nothing better than a real Italian from a real Amato's not this place. I gave the service a 3 star because the young girl work was very nice and seemed happy to be at work.

Good clean place. The food is always delicious. The employees are always very polite and the food comes out very quickly even when there's a lot of people inside. Have to uncover that India St photo but otherwise we love it here.Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are wheelchair accessible.

Called today to ask about delivery— website lists that they close at 7 and I called at 6:10. Someone picked up and very curtly said “amatos in Augusta were closed. Sorry.” I wouldn’t have had a problem with them being closed had the man who picked up not said so in an extremely rude and rushed manner. I could not believe how he spoke to a customer. Makes me never want to order from them again… hope management speaks to whoever picked up the phone.

Love their original Italians, and they have good salads all prepared and ready to go.
Very rude to me while I was door dashing an order for them! Told me how to do my job basically (I have over 700 deliveries and am rated one of the best dashers with a 4.98 rating out of 5 on doordash) I will not be doing any deliveries for them and if you're dashing I wouldn't recommend you do any either.

As a employee of this buisness for 7 months trust me when I say you do not want to eat here. There is absolutely no sanitary standards at this restaurant all of the prepped food is so unsanitary I don't know how it passes inspection. There was a time that I dropped dough on the floor and the owner of the store said it was fine and to still use it. This place is absolutely disgusting I wouldn't eat here or let any of my family.

A++ whoopee pies, best I've ever had. Desserts are very good.

Garbage pizza. The box says, It's Real Italian. Still trying to figure that one out. Maybe the box is Italian? You should be ashamed to even call this pizza let alone Real Italian. I've had better frozen pizza than this. Waste of money.

we got a pizza and a sandwich. they were both excellent! the wait wasn't long, though we opted to eat in our car, as it was far too warm inside the shop to eat.
