This place is very unique for where it is. Food is refined and definitely worth the trip. Drinks are strong and precise. The Maine crab stuffed haddock is a killer dish as are the fried croutons arugula salad with tomatoes and goat cheese . In such a small town this is truly exceptional putting it lightly.

I started working for them 4hrs into my shift they ended up telling me I was to slow and wasn't a good fit, which in 4hrs it is impossible to know if someone is going to be good at the job or not. Also I was working in the kitchen they do not where gloves to prepare food as well as they eat food right out of the containers on the line and then continue to touch food. This is a very Un clean place and hostile rude environment.

State Lunch is by far the best place to have dinner and drinks in the Augusta area. We have eaten here several times since they have opened and the meals have always been incredible. They are always changing up the menu with new dinner options that will wow you with their presentation and flavor. The drink menu themes are fun and always changing. We love the atmosphere here. State Lunch has become our favorite date night spot in the central Maine area. You won't be disappointed!

I don't remember the last time I've been blown away by a meal! The bao buns were INCREDIBLE. The fries are so tasty! I had the turkey sandwich and my fiancé had the Kimchi burger and we were both very satisfied and now I get lunch again tomorrow thanks to the size of the turkey sandwich. Julia was our server and she was amazing! Very helpful and actually cared how our food came out. She was incredibly attentive and a great server! This is definitely my new favorite lunch/dinner spot in Maine!

The environment is loud but not loud you have to shout to have a conversation. The food was delicious. I appreciated they had a kids menu. The service was slow but friendly.

A smaller, close-quartered restaurant & bar with unique decor, good service, good drinks, great Kimchi Burger, good Sriracha Wings, mediocre Parmesan Fries; all reasonably priced for downtown Augusta.
Recommended dishes: Chicken and Waffles, State Lunch Shio Ramen Bowl, State Lunch Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, P's Hot Chicken

Food is pretty good. Only had a couple starters but they were good.I'd go back and try it again. The cocktails are good, not as nice as the photos they post of them but I suppose that's expected. Would be nice if they looked that fancy when you ordered it.Service was good. Everyone is pleasant
