I thoroughly enjoy myself every Thursday karaoke night not just because of the entertaining crowd of regular singers, the DJ's the whiskey kitchen has Hired on a regular basis are Wonderful individuals as well with a nice little stage that is usually a utilized for seating. The owner Brian is a down to earth sweet soul that does his best to ensure a comfortable environment and even will socialize when he's not too busy. The staff are a great crew behind the bar and in the kitchen the Mac and cheese is superior to any chain restaurant which should be expected of a locally owned establishment I haven't had a bad meal or cocktail/drink in all of my visits at the whiskey kitchen. I enjoy the rustic wooden look of the restaurant that gives a saloon vibe with a modern twist even when I go without friends I feel comfortable and ready for a good time at this bar/restaurant.

I had a great night. I don’t know our waitresses name but she was wearing a green shirt with a shamrock on it- she was amazing. We stayed past closing time by accident (because I drank a bit of wine) but everyone there and the service was absolutely incredible. I didn’t feel rushed nor like I was a burden. Definitely customer service you look forward to in a place!! 100% recommend! :)

The margarita flights are the best in town. The food is good! My family and I love to sit in the window. The kids love the saddles. Great downtown restaurant.

Was hoping the wings would be up to par with other whiskey joints that have popped up in New England. Unfortunately they were wet and gamey tasting. I wish there was a place in central Maine similar to Proof 22 in Plymouth Mass. They have it down!

We stopped in for lunch when we were in Augusta. Fun atmosphere, cozy, comfy. Super nice staff. The food was delicious. Pastrami sandwich with garden salad, shrimp tacos and mac n chz.

Ate here again today. Service from Martie was fantastic, the food was great (tot poutine ?, salad and the special - a Reuben pizza), & the pour selection was fabulous! Love that we can go to downtown Augusta and have such a nice restaurant experience.

Pulled pork sauce is overly sweet and the meat had no texture. Mushy. Sweet potato tater tots were both burned and mushy. Did not care for the food at all.

Nice place in downtown Augusta, friendly staff, interesting menu choices and great choice of drinks. It's all about the whiskey. Food was good.

Bar food on par with Applebees Pulled pork sandwich overly sweet. I couldn't eat it bc so sweet. Somehow the sweet potato tots were both burned and mushy. If you want a drink and apps, this might be a place for you. If you want better than chain restaurant, go elsewhere

Food was pretty good. When we were offered sides by our server, we were only offered the sides that were an upcharge, not the chips that were included in the sandwich. I was not paying close enough attention and fell into that trap. The side was better than expected, but it did drive the price up.

You've got to check out Thursday night karaoke. Some of the best singers in central Maine make for a great show. Everyone is very supportive and the staff is incredible. Can't say enough good things about The Whiskey Kitchen!
