Yesterday my husband and I meet friends for breakfast at Two Cats. Two in our party ordered the French toast. One person ordered the corn beef hash. I ordered the banana and walnut pancakes. Both people who ordered the French toast found it was uncooked in the middle. My pancakes were also uncooked in the middle. But the corn beef hash was by far the worst. It was very dry and string, almost like beef jerky. It was so stringy it was impossible to cut, let alone chew. We told our waitress. She said just struggled when told about the French toast. Regarding the pancakes, she said that's how they make their pancakes. They are called "wet" pancakes. In regards to the corn beef hash, again, she said that's how we make it. I felt the new management could care less about our concerns; and did not value our patronage. That is why I decided to write this review.

We went to one of the popular places in Maine for breakfast. It was Thursday morning around 9am and it was already busy, but there was no waiting time. The place has an old-style look, not fancy at all.The food is okay, with a lot of fried options. There are not many healthy options. The staff tries their best to accommodate, but it takes some time to get your order. We waited about 30 minutes for our food.

mugsWe had breakfast on 12/31/23. My wife and I expected something speciaL, and that's what we got. The server, Robyn, was gracious and attentive, refilling our coffee mugs twice without being asked. I had an omelet with mushrooms, Boursin and chives, a combination I strongly recommend. My wife ordered the vegetarian Eggs Benedict, which, she said, was far better than ordinary Both orders came with home fries (freshly made and not greasy) and a large biscuit with butter on the side.

Went in June and I’m still thinking about the spicy potatoes! The eggs Benedict is also on a biscuit and hands down the best Benedict I’ve ever had.

Best place for breakfast in Bar Harbor. Cat's paw was delicious as well as other items we ordered.

Restaurant review only food was good, but service not so much. It felt like our waiter was annoyed we were there. We came here after watching the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain and were eager to warm up. We were sat outside even though there was room inside. It took awhile for the overhead heater to turn on. There were plastic flaps that could have been closed to block the wind, but instead we had to sit in the chilly and windy weather. There were also a lot of bees around. French toast was really good. The breakfast potatoes were a little overcooked. We were given attitude when asked to split the bill. It is a cute spot though.

This place was very cute and cozy and we loved the vibe! While the wait staff was busy, they still made sure to check in on us. However, I had to send my blueberry pancakes back 2 times for being undercooked/raw. Mistakes happen but 2 times is a lot and I ended up just not getting anything to eat. The other food look good but definitely wouldn't get the pancakes again!

Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Bar Harbor! The staff were so welcoming and sweet, and the food was delicious. We tried the breakfast sandwich on a kaiser roll and the smoked trout omelette. Both dishes were really flavorful and cooked well. I also got the Milky Way latte (chocolate and caramel) and it was perfectly balanced - not too sweet! If you try one breakfast place in Bar Harbor - 2 Cats is the place to go!

2 Cats is easily one of the best breakfast spots in Bar Harbor - if you try one breakfast place, this should be the one! The staff were welcoming and the service was quick but not rushed. We ordered the breakfast sandwich on a kaiser roll and the smoked trout omelette. Both dishes were really flavorful and cooked well. The Milky Way latte (chocolate and caramel) was also great - nicely balanced and not too sweet!

The food itself was decent but the service put a bad taste in my mouth, I probably would have enjoyed it more if we had a different serving experience. I had ordered a sweet tea and our waitress, Maddy, brought me an unsweetened tea. I had attempted to sweeten it with the sugar provided but their cane sugar was not mixing with the tea. I decided to send it back and get a water instead. She made a rude and very vocal remark about us sending it back and then still charged us for it! We will definitely get our breakfast somewhere else next time we're in Bar Harbor.

Delicious food and cozy atmosphere. On a very busy day the wait was not too long, and very much worth the time. The lobster eggs Benedict was delicious with a huge serving of hot fries and fresh fruit. The Catspaw pastry was tasty as well.
