I have eaten here a number of times and enjoyed my meal. It seems that something has changed in the last year. Three of us went for dinner. I was planning on a steak. The web menu has scallops and steak listed as entrees. The actual menu does not have these. Choices were limited. We ordered the Millbrook Tavern wings and the burratta as appetizers. Both were pretty good. We also ordered three entrees. All were just average. Short Ribs tasted more like pot roast. The meat and potatoes were just warm and not hot. The herb crusted haddock was a nice size piece of fish but the herb crusting was really just a sprinkling of crumbled croutons. The pesto chicken sandwich was also just average. For ambiance, all the TVs were all on in the dining room playing some game show. With drinks and dessert the meal came to $200. Too expensive for a mundane meal. Bethel has some good restaurants. This was a disappointment.

Had the special: Herb crusted Haddock. Very good, cooked perfectly light and flaky. None of that heavy butter or oil you get in a lot of places these days. Asparagus was excellent also. Service was a little slow, but waitress was very nice.

Stunningly delicious. I ate here in 2018 and we still talk about it.

Went for a sleigh ride at the attached hotel and decided to reserve a table for afterwards. Great decision. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was excellent. Everyone loved their food. One of us had the fillet and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were great. I had the duck pot pie...it was awesome and again, perfectly cooked!!! We also had delicious fish and chips and a large, hearty entree salad. Highly recomended.

The prime rib special on Tuesday evenings is outstanding! My wife had the seared scallops, again they were beautifully seared and presented, and delicious!! Most of all our server Jollie was like icing on the cake! She was attentive, friendly , and even saved the prime rib for us !! Put Millbrook Tavern on your must visit list when visiting the Bethel & Sunday River Area. Great Happy Hour as well. Looking forward to what the new Culinary team brings to the table.. the atmosphere is quintessential New England.

I don't usually write reviews but we had a pretty bad experience with very slow service, a forgotten meal that took 20+ minutes more to get, not very tasty but expensive beef and a hefty automatically added service charge for a terrible waiter. We always tip well but the poor service didn't reflect the amount we had no choice but to tip. And no apologies for the forgotten meal either. The restaurant is cozy though.

We had a party of six and were seated by the fireplace. The entrees were all good, and everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. The scallop dish is good, but not very filling(more like a small plate) order the fish and chips instead and the blueberry soda.

It was school vacation week and although the restaurant was busy it appeared understaffed. We had a reservation but were told it would be “a while” until someone could talk our order. We were seated but it was an hour before someone took our order. Then the food came the steak tips were grizzly and it was expensive for the quality of the food.

The Millbrook Tavern has a very cozy and warm atmosphere & we looked forward to eating here after a day of skiing. We enjoyed our food, but two of our entrees were served at a tepid temperature when it should have been served hot. I ordered scallops and was looking forward to a hearty meal, but was disappointed. The dish was not hot and the entree resembled a small plate or appetizer. My daughter's vegetable tortellini was also on the tepid side. For the amount of money we spent it should have been better. We ate at 5:30 pm and the restaurant wasn't crowded so we're not sure why the food wasn't served piping hot. The wait staff was fine, and the ambiance was very nice, including a nice musician performing there.

Went for the Prime Rib special, it was delicious! And cooked perfect. For 25.00 it was very reasonable. Our Server Jollie was exceptional, on top of our entire dining experience, we had gone to the bar on Monday and Jollie was the bartender, she recommended we come back Tuesday for the prime rib special, so we took her advice, and we're not disappointed ! Highly recommend the Millbrook Tavern, be sure to ask for Jollie!

I went to millbrook with a large group with a relatively last minute reservation, and they were extremely accommodating, efficient, and friendly! We loved our server, Samantha, and everything we ordered came out quick and was delicious. We especially loved the braised short rib, scallops, and salmon! The meaty flat bread was also to die for! Would definitely recommend and hope to be back in the future!

Beautiful establishment. Service was slow, albeit they were understaffed. But waited well over an hour for chicken sandwiches and burgers. One order was wrong so we ate whole one in our party had to wait. Burgers over cooked and dry. Nothing acknowledged or courtesy adjustments. Very disappointed.

Found the food and drinks to be delicious, had the baked brie, wedge salad, and duck pot pie. Cozy atmosphere and especially convenient when staying at the inn.

Delicious meal at the Millbrook Tavern. The short rib was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, with root vegetables and mashed potatoes. Best I've ever eaten, since my mom cooked them in the 1960s. Husband had the seared scallops which were also delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. By the way, dry rub wings were also great ! Prices very reasonable for what we ordered. Very happy with our meal.
