I’m so glad my husband and I stopped in on a stroll through downtown recently. I don’t know why it took us so long to get back but it certainly won’t again. I love the warm atmosphere. I was worried I would feel underdressed in my jeans and walking shoes but worried for nothing. It feels fancy but everyone was so relaxed and casual. It would be fun to dress up in date night though. I may never be “ just a wine” drinker again. The cocktail was incredible and made me realize I need to expand my horizons. What a perfect location. I can’t wait to sit outside with the flaming patio heaters especially with more green space out front at the intersection. Will be returning soon!

Service was excellent; friendly and informative. We dined during Restaurant Week and thoroughly enjoyed the Prix Fixe menu. Creative cocktails, and it was very entertaining watching the bartender work. We are looking forward to returning to try the regular menu offerings.

First timing dining in the 'new' iteration of Magnus, and wow, it was great! Dining room was more comfortable, music at a nice level for conversation, staff attentive, and oh, the food- so delicious! Can't wait to return!

So happy to have finally tried this place! The food was unique and delicious and the servers were super nice and attentive. We sat at the bar so the noise level was a bit much, but that's to be expected (make reservations early if you're going on a weekend.) My partner and I split four small plates and by the end we were comfortably full (with room for dessert, of course- which ended up being our favorite part.) I can't wait to go back!

Sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience. Started with great drinks called speed date and 4011 which were excellent and priced well. The Lomo sandwich and short ribs were good well, fresh and delicious. The staff from the hostess to the bartenders were friendly and outgoing. The bartender even gave us a little taste on drinks we inquired about. The atmosphere was enjoyable and the bar stools very comfortable. It was a cold night outside but the warm and comfortable inside.

Wow. The whole experience was incredible... One of our favorite meals we've had in some time. Hard to explain how good the food was. The menu might look intimating but go for it 100% worth it! Scott was our server and he was amazing, really made the whole experience the best!!

This was our first time to Magnus on Water & we will be back. The interior was warm and inviting on a cold February night. We sat at the bar and had excellent service and an engaging conversation with the bartender. My husband is an amateur cocktail mixer at home and he was pleased to pick up some tips. Our cocktails were complex and yummy and I appreciated the restaurants use of chilled glassware. We shared the Yucca fries which come with 3 lively sauces. We also had a sashimi plate that was served with segments of satsuma orange - it was very refreshing. Instead of dessert my husband had a sampling of Amaris, fun to try. I had a delicious Zinfandel. So happy to find such a sophisticated restaurant nearby!

Magnus is such a gem - and you need to step inside, sit down, meet the lovely staff, and take a sip and a bite to really appreciate the magic they have going on. The food is fantastic and beautifully crafted, the cocktails are off the charts, and the ambiance they've crafted manages to be simultaneously elevated and completely down to earth with a touch of whimsy. Absolutely the best place to eat in Biddeford, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport without question. (written by a former industry couple.)

I brought another friend with me for my second visit in a week to Magnus. We were not disappointed! From our hostess, Brittany, and our server, Scott everything that we wanted was provided. It was fun sharing the small plates ( we had the amazing potato dish and the delicious radicchio salad) as well as the main dishes- sorry I can't remember the full names, but it was the wonderful chicken, and the cauliflower (quite spicy and we loved it!) Not inexpensive but worth it!
