Lovely people, great location. The food was blander than I expected though. Not bad, not amazing, just fine.

We had the best experience at this restaurant today. I saw on their site that the restaurant had limited seating. So I called ahead and asked if the restaurant if they could accommodate a table for 5 at a specific time. When I arrived, a table was set up with 5 ice waters all in place. I was so grateful and impressed, excellent service! Great menu with both Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I loved the Vietnamese iced coffee and the drunken noodle dish. Thanks so much, Que Huong Restaurant!

Perfect options for a cool evening. Small place with about 5-6 tables for dine in. We got take out for 2 with spring rolls and salad ~$50. Great flavor and perfectly cooked veggies! Would definitely recommend. Would love to try some of their other dishes.Vegetarian options: The spring rolls have chicken, but could likely be made special. The sharing salad also comes with chicken.

I SO wanted to love this restaurant. It's a cute, little place with a few 2-hour parking spots right in front. We had 3 appetizers: Vietnamese egg roll, Shrimp spring roll and lemongrass steak (beef) on a skewer. The egg roll was the highlight--nice, crisp wrapping and piping hot. Not the best I've ever had, but decent. The spring roll was a disappointment. It had no distinct flavors (bland, in other words), way too much lettuce and not enough vermicelli. The beef skewer was the biggest flop of them all. The seasoning was pretty flavorful, but the steak was tough and chewy. We were actually shocked, because we never experienced that in a Vietnamese restaurant before. The dipping sauces served to complement the dishes were also lacking. The spring roll sauce was adequate (nothing to write home about) and the one for the skewered beef wasn't even homemade--it was a rather lackluster peanut sauce out of the bottle. I don't know. I guess I've been spoiled by some of the most wonderful, flavorful Vietnamese restaurants (Mi Quang in Philadelphia, for one) that this meal just didn't cut the mustard. Or dipping sauce.

Very reasonable prices, but the good was just ok, not special. I think it’s the quality of ingredients, but the people couldn’t be nicer.

Que Hong is a cut above most Maine Vietnamese restaurants. The menu is pretty much like those elsewhere, but the execution here stands out. The best dish we had was a chicken-broth based seafood noodle soup. I order this all the time in Vietnamese restaurants and this may be the best I have ever had. It is clearly made from home-made chicken broth (which our server confirmed), and includes a much wider and more generous array of seafood than one usually sees. There were four karge shrimp, several pieces of squid, lots of surimi, and two kinds of fish balls(that's what I remember, but it may not be a complete inventory). What kept this dish from being spectacular was that some of the cilantro provided as an add-on had rotted. Our spring rolls were very good, though less distinctive. They seemed very fresh and had chicken and shrimp plus a lot of lettuce. They were unusually thick, and, unusually, not cit into thirds the way other restaurants present them. Certainly a restaurant we will return to..

Best pho ever. I've never had anything else here. I just get the pho every time. Typical - fresh cilantro, basil, sprouts, lime - served beside a hot bowl of broth, choice of protein, rice noodles, scallions. The broth is magical. Touch of hoisin and siracha and prepare for pho nirvana.

Cute, reasonable, and tasty vietnamese nook. Really enjoyed stopping by for some Pho and Thai Iced Tea on a nice fall day while perusing local shops.
