Loved it! Old fashioned drive-in diner. Food was a little greasy but delicious, and prices were decent. I'll be going back.

Food was great! Especially the onion rings. Cheeseburger and Hot Dog and fries didn’t disappoint either. Was a fun trip back to childhood memoriesParking: They actually have car hops! Can eat in car or inside.

Fat Boy Drive In is an institution in Brunswick. It's an old fashioned drive in, lights on for service and they take your order and serve you in your car. However, there are tables for those who need to get out and stretch their legs. The food is simple American fast food done very well with a few New England signatures added on. Their fries are not my favorite (crinkle cut) but everything else I've had has been great. It's across from the old navel base and watching airplanes come in and out of the airport is fun.

Super cute place! Very friendly staff. Great bang for your buck. Stopped by on our travels up Route one. Was not disappointed!!

Absolutely, fantasticly delicious haddock sandwich!!! And the fries were perfection… hot and crispy with a soft potato center. Our server Catherine and the supervisor Emily were completely on point, fast, efficient and friendly. And we topped it off with chocolate frappe. All i can say is aaaaahhhhh…and it’s very easy to see why this place has been in business for so many decades! Still using rhe same recipes. Get there! Its GRRRRREAT!!

Visited when my party was hungry and passing by. I am glad we did since we found this unique place where we received prompt service by a smiling associate who returned within ten minutes with appealing and delicious food.

Born in Brunswick and have many fond memories of this place. So much has changed since the original owners left. You can no longer sit inside, the onion rings are completely different batter and appear to be frozen bought. Prices are roughly 55% higher than they were just 4 years ago. I was optimistic a few years ago but my most recent visit was a huge disappointment, barely anyone there for lunch on a Saturday. They’ve priced-out locals and loyalists. Workers are still wonderful and polite, just sad to see the new owners changes seemingly putting profit before all else.

My wife is from Brunswick, ME, born and raised, graduate of Brunswick High. She grew up going to Fat Boy with her family, then high school friends, hanging out. Her favorite is the Canadian bacon BLT and onion rings sometimes with a strawberry frappe. We live in Fla now, since 1986, but we go back to her home state often visiting her family and never miss our visit to Fat Boy. The food is classic dinner counter Maine fair all fairly priced and very tasty. The lobster rolls, fried clams, hamburgers, Canadian BLT, and onion rings are go-to choices. I’ve never had a bad meal there over the many years, including this month. The drive-in is a wonderful throwback in time. The car service is top notch and the hops are young kids in HS or college and as kind as can be. A few recent changes: they eliminated the quaint inside seating to expand kitchen and prep space, and the car hops show up at your car window before you know it. You don’t need to signal with your car lights anymore, except when you’re done or need something else. They also use hand-held devices to take and transmit your order and process your credit card.My advice : try your best to stop at Fat Boy during your time in Vacationland for a feel of Maine’s past and tradition and some pretty good dinner comfort food.

Had been here years ago but never wrote a review. We were here for lunch yesterday, I had a tuna roll, onion rings and black raspberry shake, my wife had cheeseburger and fries...fries were a bit soggy but that might be because she did not take them out of the container right away. I liked my tuna roll, onion rings and shake, but DAMN, the onion rings were the best ones I have ever had anywhere!

Excellent food and a good place for a drive-in car show... Little bit on the pricey side but not unreasonable.

Old school drive up diner, metal window baskets and all! Good fries, way too much mustard on burger though.

July 2023 Update: after a little bit of worry when the place looked like it might go out of business, but then the sold to someone else, had a chance to visit and I'm pleased to say that it is still the same old Fat Boy!Super fun, old school drive in where staff comes out take your order at the car and hang a tray on your window. Solid Burgers, good french fries, but the onion rings are really what shine here. This is a place that is a must visit if you're in this part of me, my family and I have made it a point to go at least once every trip for the last 20 years...
