The restaurant is beautiful inside. The owner is great and the staff is friendly. I got a cheese pizza and it was amazing. Highly recommended. Support local and check out this place!

I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past but unfortunately it is now closed and for sale.

Super delicious, super convenient! Just steps from the Rail Station Visitor Center, you'll find this very delightful cafe, with excellent service, toasty and tasty sandos, and a place to set yourself down outside. I chose outside, as I had 3 bags with me from the train, so it worked out wonderfully for me. I had the turkey with sprouts, (instead of spinach) sando...and some very refreshing lemon Ice Tea! But those snappy pickles and crispy chips...nice touch! I was waiting on the Bus connection at the Station, and I was hungry, plus my bags were heavy...so again, super convenient for you travelers getting off the train or bus. Delicious food. I highly recommend it!

It's rare that I experience restaurant regret, but that's exactly what I feel. I took three kids out to dinner and was aiming for cheap and cheerful. The atmosphere was cheerful, as was the server. But I ended up paying $86 for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, a Reuben, and a turkey sandwich. How can that be, you may ask? The drinks: four Sierra Mists and one sasperilla apparently accounted for almost $30 but we couldn't tell they were $5.50 each because it's not on the menu. Nor did we know the Reuben or the turkey sandwich (a special tthat night) were almost $20 a piece. But hey, at least they came with potatoe chips and a pickle. The server was great. But I can't get past the price of a sandwich, two of which were just bread and melted cheese and one of which went uneaten because the corned beef was sketchy. Brunswick has better options.

Great food, great staff and very friendly. We really enjoy going to Scarlet Begonias - best burgers in town and their Italian dishes can’t be beat.

So impressed by this restaurant. I have been a number of times and never disappointed. The owner comes out of the kitchen to ensure satisfaction. I had a special salmon over spinach with a pesto cream sauce. There was no skimping on the dish. A big piece of salmon and generous pasta and the heavenly sauce. There is enough left for 2 great leftover lunches at work. Everything is local meat, fish, produce. The hours are reduced because there just isn’t enough help. We made a dash to get there before the kitchen closes at 7 and so glad we did. Local, meals prepared with care, not slapped out like at the chains.

Awesomeness in every meal. Doug and Colleen have made this an institution. A must stop on your way through Brunswick. Thank you both and your staff for the wonderful atmosphere and food!!

Everything about our visit was ew. Traumatically so. Poor little girl waitress was a bundle of nerves, after reading how the owners treats people, I've no doubt why. Weird vibes.

We arrived. Was promptly seated in a requested booth( seats were ripped).Server arrived took our drink order, returned ask if we had decided(did not let us know there were specials). Overheard her reading them to the next table. Ordered a Cobb Salad( Which was not a traditional Cobb). Ordered Puttanesca( very disappointing) huge chunks of garlic and tomatoes and very watery. The Chef came out and was very rude. Said What’s the problem? He needs a class in dealing with customers.

We ate here for a pre-theater matinee lunch on a weekday. We were there when they opened a little later than advertised. Our server arrived a while later and was really pleasant and professional. She helped us figure out our drink choices and we told her we had a deadline, so would order when she returned with our drinks. First the good news. Our food and drinks were really good. Two of us chose the white sangria which was fresh and refreshing on a warm day. The other had a white wine which was exactly as described. We each had different sandwiches and my burger was done perfectly. The not-so-good news: It took an hour to get our food. We really didn't know if we would get to our show on time. Our server told us that the kitchen was short-handed. To be honest, this is why we stopped going there in previous years, but we had heard that things had changed. They have not. So - if you are not on a schedule and don't mind waiting for your food, Scarlet Begonias is worth a stop, but if you need to be somewhere else at a certain time, you are safer going elsewhere.

Have never had a bad or ok dish here! Their salmon czar salad is the best I've ever had! It isn't always on the menu so call ahead if looking for it!

We’ve been wanting to try here for a while and today was that day! The ambiance is super cute and warm. The restaurant is very clean. The food was excellent and ingredients were so fresh. Burgers were tasty and huge. Beer selection is great. Service was expedient, kind, and attentive. It was really refreshing to have all these things done well. Thank you!

My husband and I just ate there and I had the Tango Burger! The sauce/mayo was delicious!! The portions were amazing and the slices of bacon were the best so I suggest you try there! The owner also came out to check how we liked the food and I thought that was pretty cool! I will definitely be back! Plus atmosphere is super cute!

Gem in Brunswick. Our favorites are the Margherita pizza and the Reuben. I never thought I would say this but the Reuben is actually better if you remove about half of the generoys amount of corned beef. Take the extra meat home and make yourself another sandwich later.
