Best lobster roll I've ever had. I'm Gluten free and they are so accommodating for food allergies. The service was amazing they gave our puppy a treat through the service window.

Recommended: Absolutely, for a quintessential Maine lobster roll experience. Overall: A top-tier choice for lobster rolls, set against the stunning backdrop of Portland Head Light. Snapshot: Food: 5/5 Drink: NA Vibe: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Value: 4/5 ‍‍ Family-Friendly: NA Highlights: Perfect For: Savoring a traditional Maine lobster roll in a picturesque setting Don't Miss: The classic Maine lobster roll, known for its perfect balance of lobster and mayo Bonus Tip: Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but the location and quality are worth it All The Details: As self-proclaimed lobster roll connoisseurs, my husband and I always look forward to discovering our favorite lobster roll each summer. The location is unbeatable, with the magnificent view of the lighthouse adding to the experience. The traditional Maine lobster roll here is a delight - tossed in mayo and served cold on a roll with a side of chips. The lobster is consistently cooked to perfection, generously portioned, and dressed with just the right amount of mayo, avoiding the over-saturation found at some other places. This was our first time visiting this specific location, although we've enjoyed their fare at the Allagash truck in the past. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Expect a bit of a wait, which is typical for such a scenic and tourist-favored spot, but it's a small price to pay for such quality and ambiance.

If you go out to the Portland Head Light definitely check this place out. It's a food truck with very little seating right around the truck but there are a decent number of picnic tables a short walk away. The park it sits in has a lot of things to see and do so you could definitely spend a good amount of time there. Now, back to the real reason to visit - the lobster rolls! I got mine Connecticut style with drizzled butter. The food came pretty quick. For those expecting warm lobster, this is served cold, but don't let that dissuade you from giving it a try. They also have a bunch of other styles, including Maine style (with mayo) but that's just not my thing though I'm sure it's excellent. I had the 4oz, which may seem a bit pricey at ~$30 but that's the going rate for lobster these days and this was definitely worth the price. Good sized chunks of delicious quality lobster and some interesting drinks to go along with it. The service was pretty quick and the staff were very friendly. One thing we learned on our visit is that you can get a ride out to the park pretty easily, but it can be a challenge to get a ride back. If you don't have a car, you may want to make sure you have the number of a cab or ride service on you Uber/Lyft seem to like to cancel a lot and can leave you waiting for a very long time.

First things first: they don't say on the sign that they have gluten free bread, but they did. The line will be long. It will be worth it. This is actually the first lobster roll I ever ate (lots of people said it was the best so it seemed a good starting point!) The gluten free roll was impressively good, didn't melt like don't gluten free rolls do when exposed to say, melted butter. I got the smaller size of sandwich and it was a nice portion. I loved it, and it definitely was the best lobster I ate during my trip. Pro tip that is only marginally related to the food truck: you can Uber TO this location, but getting someone to pick you up can be really challenging. If you don't have a car, you might try one of their more centrally located shops.

It wasn't busy when I went in so that was great no waiting. The shop is midsize. Love the warehouse/garage vibe I get from it. Whoopie pie was good , the lobster roll said Connecticut style so I assumed it was a hot lobster roll, it turns out it was a cold lobster roll with warm butter. I personally prefer the warm lobster rolls but it wasn't bad at all the lobster roll had plenty of meat. The blueberry Maine soda was a great top off.

Savory lobster rolls with a sweet woopie pie and the most beautiful views of the lighthouse. This place is an amazing stop with quick and friendly service. A must stop for sure!

The lobster sandwich is good, but the lobster was cold..the caprese sandwich is one star, the balsamic vinegar is too strong and masks the taste of all the other ingredients.

Pretty good lobster roll straight from Maine but I wish they offered a warm lobster roll option. The cold lobster and hot bread kind of threw me off but the lobster overall was very good. The portion size was reasonable for the amount you pay as well.

Food truck is in middle of Fort Williams Park so you will have to pay to park. My husband dropped me off and picked me back up so it worked out. We just got a bowl of clam chowder to try which was it was good and hot. Price was reasonable at $6.

TOUGH TO BEAT. Downeast/coastal Maine honeymoon trip from Boston to Acadia. Based on weeks of research, this food truck and lighthouse combo made the “must” list. Bingo. Iconic setting, and if you’re looking at these photos then you’re already willing to pay for the lobster. Just go. After eating several lobster rolls on this trip in NE, I can say with certainty that not all rolls are equal. This one and McLoon’s are at the top, probably tied.

We went to the food truck at the lighthouse in Portland. Saw the Yelp ratings and decided to have lunch. The lobster rolls were great! Loaded with fresh lobster, enough mayo to keep it together, a sprinkle of chives on top and a toasted bun Simple perfection. Served with kettle chips and a craft beer. About $70.00 for the two of us and well worth it.
