When I contacted the restaurant to inquire if the kitchen was accepting to go orders, acknowledging that it might be too busy to do so, the individual who answered the phone was exceptionally rude. They yelled "No!" before I could even complete my question, followed by shouting, "HARD NO!" I hadn't even pushed the request. I understand that a busy restaurant is a stressful environment, but I would expect more from a professional who works in hospitality. The Good Table might benefit from some lessons in good manners.

We visited The Good Table Restaurant with a large party that included children. We were seated on the back, indoor porch, which was perfect. It was light and airy and actually felt almost like we were eating outdoors. I tried the side Greek Salad, which was excellent and the Baked Haddock as my main course. The fish was fantastic. It came with very well prepared mashed potatoes. Others at the table had clam chowder (reported to be great) and scallops ( I tasted them and they were awesome), lobster risotto, lobster pasta, mussels and a burger. Everyone was happy with their food. For dessert we tried several including the pound cake with strawberries, bread pudding, cheese cake and almond cupcake. All fantastic! There is a children's menu. We were told by our friends from Portland that the restaurant was recently sold. We can only hope that the new owners carry over some menu items and continue to provide such excellent food and good service!

Service was very friendly! Food was pretty good, seafood was very fresh! Prices were borderline expensive but still acceptable. Showed up without a reservation and only had to wait maybe 10 min or so. Would eat there again

Appetizers and entrees were excellent for all at the table. The back room was quiet and sunny for our group. Thank you to our server!!!

It was the second lobster roll I'd ever had and so far it's the best. It was our first time to try rhubarb and strawberry crumble which my husband really enjoyed. Very homey and cozy setting.

We arrived after the lunch rush hoping for a quiet and relaxed lunch. The waitress was a crank from the moment we walked into the place. She left us waiting for a table while she did other things when a hostess appeard and finally gave us menus to look over. Finaly our watress pointed to a table and said " your tables over there" then disappeared. She continued to be rude and cold throughout. The clam chowder was very good, stuffed with clams. I had the gyro sandwhich which was fair as it was beef not lamb. The fries were the best part of the meal. My husband wanted calamari but could only get it in a ceasar salad. Ok the salad was a generous bowl with some very nice calamari on top but the dressing!!!!! Was a terrible strong garlic white sauce that totally ruined the taste of eating anything. The waitress never came to check on our meal and when we decided to leave didnt give a hoot that the salad was bad. Convenience obviously doesnt outweigh quality. Dont waste your time and money on this place .

Stopped by when we were checking out the lighthouses in the area. What a great stop. AMAZING bloody's, and we are picky about our bloody's!! I got the spicy and just the right amount of kick. So good, I had to have another! We also split a bowl of clam chowder and a lobster roll. Clam Chowder was GREAT, with a very generous portion of clams! The lobster roll was good, with a nice portion of lobster meat. Staff were very nice and helpful. Really enjoyed our lunch and will look forward to stopping by when we are in the area again.

I don't know where to begin they were absolutely excellent. We had a party of six for breakfastWe had a table setup right by a nice sunny window very comfortable. We ordered our food it all came in a very timely manner. Everyone absolutely loved but they got and all of our food came with these fresh fruit cups that actually had like real fresh berries and nectarines in it everything was. This was our first time going there. I know now that we will be definitely making this a regular place to dine the service was outstanding in the food was out of this world and the price was greatParking: There was plenty of parking

I have lived in the Portland area for over 10 years and have driven by this restaurant several times. My partner do date night out and were looking for something different then our regular spots and we decided to pull in. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food was phenomenal. We had the Brie and head of garlic and fruit for an appetizer. He had the steak with mashed potato and I the burger with their frittered onion rings. We also had cocktails and dessert. Their cheese cake was a hit. I had the gluten free chocolate cup cake it was decadent and you could not tell it was GF. Our Server was amazing and can't thank Julie enough on her suggestions and superior customer service. We have made this a new date night go to. Thank you for a great first experience!

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Everything we had was amazing! The blueberry pie was made with whole berries and delectable.
