Years later, it remains one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. The food, experience, setting etc were all perfect.

Very nice place. Did get treasures in the shoppe. Was dissatisfied in the wine cellar as the bin of $9 wine, was in fact, not a bin of $9 wine. I paid $32 for a bottle of wine @ 375ml which I grabbed from the $9 bin. "Bait and switch". Just beware. When questioned, the cashier did point to the 1/4" price tag. Why, oh, why was it put in the $9 bin? Very unexpected in a place such as this. Won't be returning.

I have no rating for this place because it was closed when we were there. Even their store was closed. So we could not go in. Outside the atmosphere is very peaceful with the water falling over the dam. The old mill is restored beautifully on the exterior.

I cannot rate the experience because we have not dined but it's a gorgeous restaurant in a beautiful setting

Where do I begin? My mom and I traveled from Seattle, Wa to Freedom, Me to eat here. It's a lottery system so send in your post cards! This is a quaint restaurant with Michelin style menu and service. My mom and I were lucky enough to get picked in the lottery and we had bar seats, best seats in the house. The bar seats are a bit uncomfortable seeing as how you are there for 5 hours and get about 8-10 courses during your meal. The staff brought out special padding for my moms seat. They noticed her fidgeting in her seat. This review does not even come close to how amazing this place is. I don't even know how to eloquently describe the experience. If you are a foodie or just enjoy fine dining...this is a must! I posted most of the meal but there was also a cold tomato soup, a baby bib lettuce salad, a chocolate candy with rose petals and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting.

We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but we did get a chance to walk around the property and shop in the store. The atmosphere is tranquil and absolutely beautiful, great for some photo ops. And the staff at the store was very kind. Definitely recommend if you can get in. Otherwise swing by the restaurant and pick up something at the store. There are also signed copies of books on sale for purchase!!

A million stars. One of the best dinners I have ever had. Each course was amazingly crafted and put together like a story. The staff so attentive and joyful. It was like a fairytale.

I went to a farmers market. The vendors were amazing. Quality products and fresh vegetables. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. I loved the chairs by the water. Great touch. Highly recommend a visit. Unfortunately the only way to eat in the restaurant is by a postcard lottery held once a year. Maybe I’ll get selected one year.

The Farmers Market was great, as well as The Lost Kitchen. The food and atmosphere were great. The tents at the Farmers Market had fresh and delicious produce, cheeses, and meats. Absolutely worth a visit!

We have been so lucky to have been fed by the soul warming Lost Kitchen 4 times- does not disappoint! Single best oysters I’ve ever had, anything with bone marrow butter is gold, salads and sorbets and snacks are all essentials. It has gotten a little more challenging to dine with a gluten allergy- accommodated pre-covid, but these past two times, no accommodations were made. There was so much food that it really was not a big deal. The price of the meal is also increased quite significantly- I think it will deter us from entering the raffle again. So glad we went when we did!Dietary restrictions: Gluten intolerant
