Our waiter was fine. He was the only thing that was. Food was mediocre to poor. Steak ordered medium rare was RAW AND INEDIBLE, and that was after a very long wait for our dinners. And the place was almost empty! Will never return.

We had both breakfast and dinner. The food is very good and with substantial portions. The down side is the table for 4…on the small side making it cramped when dining.

We have been to Broad Arrow Tavern many times and always enjoyed our experience there but this time we were very disappointed. The menu is very limited and did not have the items to which we looked forward- lobster rolls and lobster stew. Among the offerings was haddock chowder, which we had had before. This time the chowder was thin and did not contain much haddock. Fish and chips were good but a smaller portion of fish than we had had before. Smash burger was good but one of our party had falafel and thought they were hard and overcooked. Our server was very friendly and attentive. There were only 3 other parties in the whole restaurant at lunchtime. The new owners need to revise their menu and bring back some old favorites. We would not be likely to return unless the menu changes.

I'm not sure what has happened to the Broad Arrow Tavern. They used to offer a great selection of food with higher end options. Now it's very limited, which would be ok if the quality was excellent, but it pains me to say that the last few meals I've had there have been tasteless. It's such a shame... they used to have excellent food. I hope they hire a new chef!

Well me start out with this, I looked at the yelp reviews before going here and I was getting nervous they were like one like for the last three months. Upon trying this place with my wife my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, we were greeted nicely by the hostess and sat down. We had an energetic server, and she was the best suggestion things. I started out with a pork belly appetizer, it was fabulous. My wife got a salad she liked it very much and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law split a baked brie and they loved it. I got a smash burger with french fries it was very good my wife got the salmon and she loved it. My sister-in-law got the steak and my brother-in-law got the Haddock it was plenty of food and it was great. I don't know why they get a bad wrap sorry the buffet is no longer here nobody's doing buffets anymore it's a nice menu it's not overwhelming it's a one page menu with plenty of selections . The drinks were fine I got a bloody Mary which was great my wife got a glass of white wine she liked it my brother-in-law got a sour beer in my sister-in-law got like a Bud Light. I talked to them about their review and they said there was nothing wrong with their food there was nothing wrong with the restaurant it was kind of busy and I like that so the ambience is I don't know open kitchen so you can see everything Chef did a great job The ambience was great. I am very sorry they got a bad wrap on the last four yelp reviews I don't know if it's a disgruntled employee or somebody that's been going there for 38 years and can't deal with change but it was fine and I'd go there again thank you

This place used to have great food and atmosphere when they had the buffet. The change is not positive. Worst clam chowder I have ever had.

Were walk-ins for dessert. Was sat next to the fireplace, with a roaring fire:) wood fire that is! I had the cheesecake w/raspberry, my son had the crème brûlée. And a Johnny Walker Black in a snifter. Perfect end to a wonderful day. Thanks to all the great staff of The Broad Arrow Tavern.

In 10 days my husband & I will have been married 59 years. Our daughter suggested taking us to Broad Arrows Tavern for an early supper and to see the Christmas lights at LL Bean’s . For my appetizer I ordered a cup of lobster stew … it was more like milk and no lobster except for a few very tiny pieces at the bottom of cup. Our server was very good and they were just so understaffed… I chose not to complain and spoil a thoughtful deed.. the other appetizers were ok. Anyway… we all decided to have the battered fish sandwich Plate….I could not bite into mine as it was Very hard and I did tell our waiter and he Immediately brought me another sandwich which was fine. But my husband and daughter had problems with their fish sandwiches as well … so I just shared with them . My daughter just wanted to pay the bill & leave not wanting to return. This had nothing to do with the service at all but you may want to watch who is cooking the food as they certainly had to know what they were doing. We had enjoyed the Harraseeket for years to celebrate our anniversaries and eating at Broad Arrow Tavern as well.

It had been a while since I had been here, I have no idea what happened, but it is not the same place it used to be. I’m not even sure why they have a wood fired oven anymore, I didn’t see them use it. Our waiter was great, but the food was absolutely awful.

What to say that hasn’t already ? It’s not the same place anymore sadly. What was once a go to mainstay for Freeport is now a lifeless , tasteless version of the past. Decor gone ( I miss you Mr. moose ) . Menu is small and sad . Many items no longer available. Our server Celeste has always been top notch . We both had the Turkey meatloaf. It was barely warm , taste was off and the slice of meatloaf was tiny . Dessert choices were minimal and not made in house any more . All the changes to the Tavern are not for the better . Sadly we won’t be back .
