Apparently their online ordering system is down because they don’t have internet. I was informed it has not been functioning for three days. I arrive at the store to pick up my takeout order. The food is not ready because they didn’t receive the order due to internet issues. I tell them what I ordered and they make a different item than I asked for and give that to me. Good thing I checked. I asked the manager if I can get a refund for the difference and take the food that was already made (less expensive item), and he told me I could not. Then they gave me wait an additional 15-20 minutes to make the correct item. Over an hour of my time wasted. No apology from the manager, who was working the counter. If the internet is down and you are aware it has been causing an inconvenience to your customers, why not connect to a hot spot or cell phone for internet so you can process orders? Instead, they just have people continue to show up without having the food ready.

I have had overall good experiences at sam's. Me and my family have been going here since I was little, about 35 years now! I have been going to this store for awhile. I haven't had a bad interaction myself with any of the staff but a few of them stood out to me. There is always a young girl (I am not quite sure of her name) on the cash register who greets me with a smile and a " How are you! " it's very refreshing to walk in and be greeted so nicely, it always brightens up my experience! Jason and Eve are also some people I see quite often when I go in, they are very hard workers. More businesses need employees like these 3!

I was due a discount, which I didn't receive, and went back to advise them. They practically threw the money at me. I did nothing to deserve such a response, and I can only say I am getting really tired of the uncouth individuals with whom I have had the misfortune of dealing in this establishment.

I recently visited the Freeport location and ordered a Turkey Italian sub. For $10.99 the sub came with a single slice of turkey along with a tomato slice and a few slices of green pepper. Yes, ONE slice of turkey!! Who makes a sub with only one slice of meat? Their website states, “Our sandwiches, subs, and pasta are some of the best authentic Italian fare you’ll find in Maine…”. Seriously? My Italian ancestors would be rolling over in their graves. It’s preposterous that this place is still in business. Not Recommended!!!

Went there based on a recommendation. We had high hopes, but we’re extremely disappointed with the subs. Literally one slice of meat and one slice of cheese per sub. In fact, mine was supposed to be the combo (ham and salami) and there was no salami at all. . . overpriced and overall not good. Staff was nice and service was fast, that’s about it.

Their service and accuracy. And they don't care. I talked to the manager before I placed my order. And the second one was wrong. For the prices they charge they should at least appllagize

I only have one visit to base this opinion on so far, but we stopped here to grab a takeout sandwich, because Shaws down the road had nothing. We opted for a full-size Italian sandwich each. It seemed to take a while, but we were in no particular hurry so that was fine. The onions and other veggies weren't sliced as thin as I like it, but since a favorite place of mine closed down many years ago, I have yet to find a place that slices thin. But the sandwiches were great and we woofed them down while driving home. The amount of sandwich filling was generous and the right amount of oil was used. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again when we are in the area.

We use to eat here all the time but this will be our last. I understand that most places have staff shortages but would it kill them to clear off the tables??!! The eating area was DIRTY. Not one table was clean, trash overflowing, no napkins in the dispensers. There were 3 employees working. Jake who was working the register was very pleasant and outgoing but the other two employees ... yeah.. not so much. The female huffed cause it was "55 minutes" to closing. The food was okay... ordered a veggie pizza ... came with like 1/4 cup of veggies total...definitely NOT up to sam's usual standards. Will not be back.
