I have eaten in and had take out. The owner over prices the meals and they are to big, so cut the meals in half and lower the price. As for take out the add 7.5 % just for take out a complete rip off. Will not eat there again.

We went with a party of 10, they were understaffed and working as hard and fast as they could gettting drinks and food orders. The kitchen had no problem keeping up, putting out appetizers and entrees in a timely manner. The portions are actually too large to finish. The chef is talented and puts out food that is creative and cooked well. This restaurant is a nice addition to the town of Fryeburg. Thank-you for a wonderful meal and taking care of my family . See you this summer.

I think I order the wrong choices when I come here because it’s never outstanding even though my friends love it. I waited a long time before my order was taken but the server was nice once she came around. I ‘m thinking this place is overrated. It is more expensive than other restaurants of the same caliber in the area.

Fish was great but fresh vegetables would be nice considering the price. Service was fantastic!

We've eaten here 6 or 7 times - NEVER disappointed. Easily the best food we've had in the whole Lake Region. Example: 2 days before Christmas we both had the Dungeness Crab - the freshest and most succulent we've ever had. Tom (the owner) even helped me navigate the cracking!(Side note: at first I had to "get over" the super casual hunting-inspired environment, but now I embrace it !!)

I went here for the first time with my partner, and safe to say we will be coming back whenever we're in the area! It's so clear that the chef handles the food with care, attention to detail, and passion for flavor. All of the staff were knowledgeable, and it's exciting that the menu changes so frequently to give diners the most fresh and seasonal food. Highly recommend!!! Gluten free options available, as well.

Fresh oysters, and choices of the type. Food was very good. Slightly raucous atmosphere, but it was a Friday night and a holiday weekend. We enjoyed the place!

I have had my eye on this place on Facebook for a while . Always interesting menus with different food that changes weekly. I don't recall pictures of the food. I'm not from the area . But was in the area Saturday afternoon about 3 pm. We walked in and it was dead . 2 people at the bar . Sign said seat your self. Bartender brought over the lunch menu which seemed small . Normally lunch is less expensive than dinner . Dinner starts at 4 . I think we should have waited . I ordered the shrimp mosembique . I asked if it was spicy the waitress said a little . She said it's cooked with butter , spices and garlic and comes with bread for dipping $18 . My guest ordered the haddock sandwich which came with nothing $20. Ordered fries with it for like $6 extra . The bartender kept coming out and grabbing buckets of seafood from the beverage cooler in the dining area. Took a while even though the place was dead .we looked around and didn't see anything that resembled a seafood market. A lobster tank . A tee shirt rack . Some cheese cake in the beverage cooler . Strange set up .it was chilly inside But seemed clean. Waitress / bartender was friendly. Asked about Wi-Fi and was given a password. So the food comes out. I've never had this style shrimp but what I got was much different than I expected. The shrimp were swimming in a large amount of oil. Like a marinade , that had been sitting for a long time with spices . The spices were all brown in clumps at the bottom of the bowl. Not any flavor really . The bread was stale or toasted but was not browned. This was not a broth to dip the bread it was straight oil. Tasted old and that didn't help . I had finished the shrimp and my guest was not done so they said try an onion ring . Also tasted like old oil. They said the haddock was good and fresh . Waitress stopped once to check in on food . Didn't ask about a refill. I have to say I expected a lot more out of those shrimp. Disappointing to say the least. Not sure I'll be back. Very expensive for the quality and amount I received . Please post pictures of your food with descriptions . Please just offer dinner all day .
