If I could give 6 stars for service, I would!The farm-to-table attitude carries over in the friendly kitchen attitude; with fresh ingredients, freshly made. Walked in and Monica, the owner of the restaurant, greets me with a smile and friendly welcome! I sat on the river and ate an amazing sandwich, The Mediterranean, suggested by one of the friendliest and knowledgeable waitresses ever! Then my new friend Tom proceeds to serenade the area with his friendly personality. All around great service, food and atmosphere. This is the best restaurant on the Kennebec. The food is outstanding. The Mediterranean sandwich may be the best sandwich I’ve ever had. So deliciousq. Prepared by kind-hearted staff who know and care about good food. The view of the river from the bar is the best of any restaurant on Water Street in Augusta/Hallowell/Gardiner. Bald eagle citing a from here are common. Very comfortable - not at all pretentious.
