Very nice location, good food and drinks. Service can be slow, but the servers are friendly and they work hard as this place is typically quite busy. Great outdoor deck, too. A+

Came here as it was close to a party we were going to. No knowledge of the place whatsoever. Boy, we were surprised! Simply excellent!I had the Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch and she had the California BLT. Both were tasty and at the right temperature.Our server / bartender, Sarah, was picking them up and moving the out! She did a really great job!Highly recommend the River Tap and hope to be back soon!

We were excited to try out this restaurant as we had heard some great things! There was a bit of a wait (an hour) but not unexpected on a Friday night with no reservation. The hostess was a little curt, it seemed that she didn't want anyone else coming in. We were then sent a text saying our table was ready but when we went to the hostess we were told to wait for 2 more couples as it was a mistake. When we got to the table we ordered drinks which were wonderful. We also ordered the buffalo chicken dip. It was nice but cold in the middle which was unfortunate, still tasty though. The mains were great, as was the service once we were seated! I would say make a reservation if you can, unless you mind the wait. It's a popular place! Would come again and try other menu options for sure.

They definitely have good food and good cocktails.But sitting at the bar might not have be the best idea for us. Unless you are a regular, it seems. Everyone would like to feel as if the bartender is happy you came in not just regulars. You could definitely tell the difference of attitude and service between customers. Next time we will definitely sit at a table and hope it's more comfortable.

My husband didn’t care for his stuffed haddock and I didn’t like my salmon with corn and mushrooms & seaweed. Salmon & rice was the only thing that tasted good. Haddock bites were amazing.

Had dinner there last Friday…. There were three of us, two had steak tops and I had crab stuffed baked fish. All of our meals were cold. My dish was served on rice . The rice was cold and hard and the veggie was cold and way over cooked. I was very upset to pay 28.00 for cold hard food. Will not go there again. However, the wait staff was very nice…

We love this place! The interior area can get a bit percussive when it's full. So it makes it very difficult to hold conversation at times. Also low top seating is limited to the inside only. Over all clean environment, great food and friendly service. We will continue to enjoy it time and again!

Great food with plenty of variety. The pork tenderloin was fantastic. The crab stuffed haddock and shepherds pie were also a hit. Amazing beer selection and specialty cocktails.

I am giving three stars. While I'd give the in person and food a 5 I am irked. I just spent over $25 for dessert to do after dropping a $100 and received the most pathetic examples. Like they thought, well it's to go, they won't notice. We did. Sad. We got maybe half of the dessert someone in person would have received. While dinner was good, this kind of behavior will make me never go there again. A sign of someone screwing customers when they don't see it coming. Bye bye.

1st time visit the road going to the place was not good very bumpy & pot holes . Parking lot very dark . Getting in was easy . Got to the host spot didn’t wait long . Very overly loud due to cathedral ceilings. Put to people at a small spot of the back end felt like a Room with 1 window beside us to see others people across from us kinda weird . Very dull looking all around loud spaced out a lot or to close to other tables . The hostess seated us with just food menu no drink menu. Also no special for the night . Very limited in Maine dishes for food .Got the classic burger plate at 14.00 bucks with fries over salted way to much & not hot or felt fresh no really warm & not even hand full . Waited about half hour for food we got out food order was not right the crew member brought it back .Didn’t ask if we wanted anything for mustard or relish ketchup had to ask for it . on the burger plates no pickles we asked for them . My biggest food of thought fresh & hot & check it 1st before sending it to the the customers.
